Assignee Unavailable or Fully booked?
Hi!
When assigning a task, some users are marked as unavailable. We thought this is triggered by the Work Schedule as defined in the Settings. But now it seems it also takes into account the workload on the specific day(s) of the task. Is this correct and has this been changed recently?
This also happens when the task has 0h of effort.
Hi Karen Reijneveld, I'm raising this with our Support 👍

A few people on my team just flagged this issue as well with "Unavailable" showing when trying to tag someone.

Lisa Hi,
Could you please share what is the cause of this, since we also recently came across the "Unavailable" tag and would like to understand why this is popping up now.
We're facing the same issue.
We are also experiencing the same issue. Is this linked to the user's workload somehow. I'd like to know the reason this is appearing suddenly
Dear all, Wrike support eventually came with the following explanation:
"Indeed, before the "Unavailable" message appeared only if the user had non-working days scheduled on the day of the task. However, with the new beta feature, Custom Fields for Users, the logic has changed.
One of the functionalities of this feature is "The Best Assignee Finder". When a user's capacity is fully utilized, the system marks them as "Unavailable." This calculation takes into account not only the user's work schedule but also the active work already assigned to them. This explains why the user in question is displayed as unavailable in certain scenarios. As you mentioned, she doesn't have time on the day the task should be scheduled (screenshot from the Workload Chart), hence there is an "Unavailable" message next to her name as this particular user doesn't have the capacity to work on that task.
Please note that these are system suggestions, and you won’t be prevented from assigning work to any users, even the ones who don’t match the requirements."
My response: "So we were correct in our analysis that the message was triggered by the workload on that day. Do you know if this will be clarified in the future? So maybe not ‘unavailable’ but ‘fully booked’ or something? And if you add the item to a project with a booking on that day, will the message change?"
Wrike support: "At the moment this feature is experimental, and it is subject to change and its functionality and availability - regarding plans and users - may be modified in the future. I'll be happy to pass on your request to our Product Team with your suggestions. Could you please provide us with your vision of how it could be improved?"
Thanks so much for reposting our team's reply Karen Reijneveld! I'll share this feedback with the team as well!
