Editing Custom Field Type

When we have the need to update the Custom Field Type, the system adds ["...."]. This creates noise in our reporting and dashboards. We can see custom field modifications in the activity reports. Can the logic be updated not to include the [" and "] when the custom field type is modified?

Also, there is a need for custom fields to be added to multiple spaces but not entire account. Our account is large and growing and then we have people that are modifying custom fields without understanding the impact (and yes, we have limited roles on who can add, delete, and modify custom fields but still not manageable). So, to negate this we want to restrict where custom fields are added.

I love this! It takes a ton of time to re-fill out all of my custom fields if I've had to edit them.
