Weekdays added to date format
Dear Wrike team,
it would be great to add the option of "shot weekday" to the date formats.
In larger projects where many tasks follow each other, it is sometimes useful to know which weekday a task starts or end.
Therefore, it would be good to have the option to show the weekday in addition to the date, e.g. MO / TU / WE / TH / FR / SA / SU in front of DD/MM/YYYY
As there is already a calendar integration, this should not be a major problem, Wrike does know which weekday belongs to which date. :-)
Best regards
Florian
Hi Florian Marten, thank you for sharing this suggestion with us. You might find the Calendar view helpful in case you need to see additional information about the items' dates.
Please, let us know if you have any other questions.
Dear Juan, thank you for this tip.
Unfortunately no one in my team has ever found the Calendar view helpful.
For planning it is the wrong view, this works better in Gantt or Table view.
And as it shows all tasks, it is too crowded, you would have to scroll a lot. With filters, you might not notice the important sub tasks.
So in our case, yet no clue how we could benefit from Calendar view, but this is a different topic ;-)
Thank you for getting back to us Florian Marten and for sharing your feedback on the Calendar view, we appreciate your input!

Any updates on this? Our team post on social platforms and having the option to include the day of the week s part of the due date format would be very helpful in the table views/dashboards e.g. Weds 27/08/2025
Thanks, Deborah Grunfeld for your comment and for sharing your use case. We don’t have any updates to share right now. We’ll let you know if that changes 👍
