Add prefix when manually creating tasks from blueprint
The new drop-down option to create tasks from blueprints from any folder is awesome, and we're starting to use this to build project plans more efficiently. But it's missing one key feature that you find when using forms - the ability to add a prefix to all tasks. This means we either need to add the prefix manually, which notifies assignees, or use the form anyway.
It you could add an optional box to "add Name as prefix to subtasks", that would bridge the gap.
Thanks! Honestly, it's a game changer for us. We have blueprints for every type of deliverables in a typical product launch and marketing campaigns, and what used to be an hour-long task can now be done in minutes.
Except for renaming sub-tasks, of course.
I understand it completely, it's been duly noted and passed on to the team Jean-Pierre Picard. What I can further recommend is inviting your team members to upvote the thread if feasible 😊
how can I upvote this? Cause this would be awesome.

Thank you @...
I'm late to the party, but I just discovered that while I can add a prefix when using a folder/project blueprint, I can't add a prefix when creating from a task blueprint (with subtasks).
Thanks for adding your support to this suggestion Teddy 🙌

Hi Elaine,
I need to prefix every task inside subprojects with the name of its parents project. How to get this functionality going?
Hi Lukas Heuser, thank you for chiming in. May I kindly ask to you elaborate a bit on your use case? You can add prefixes to tasks using an automation rule or, if you're creating your items from a blueprint, you'd only need to select the option Title prefix - here's how you can achieve this.
Looking forward to your reply!
Hi Juan, thanks for your support. I need subtasks to be prefixed with the name of the customers project. I.E. customer: Madam Mim, subtask: [Madam Mim] Service, [Madam Mim] System Data and so on.
Some of the subtasks will automatically be created inside subprojects, but still need to be prefixed as described with the customers name.
Basically, I just want every subproject and subtask, no matter how they got there, to be prefixed with the title of the top level parent project.
Hoping for good news. Thanks!
I'm going to take a different approach for now. As a feature, I would like to be able to specify in a root folder that its child elements are all prefixed with the name of the root folder.
For example:
Project: Customer name
-> Task: [customer name] Consulting
-> Project: [customer name] New installation
_-> Task: [customer name] Site construction
Thank you for the additional details Lukas Heuser, I've shared your use case with our relevant team 👍
