Hi all!
Our team have been working on a feature to set up rates for users and job roles so that you can track project accounting data to view, track, and forecast projects' cost and revenue. It's now open for Beta signup.
If this sounds interesting to you, please head over to the following thread and leave comments there. https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360046901994--Read-Me-Join-the-Beta-Program-Rates-for-Users-and-Job-Roles-to-Track-Projects-Cost-and-Revenue
Looking forward to hearing from you!
The Cost fields should be default columns in Wrike I am not a programmer. I don’t have time to figure out how to set up each custom Cost field column that I need in Wrike. MS Project and other scheduling tools have the cost and resource fields and views already built in.
My solution is to export Wrike schedule (if it existed) to MS Project and set up the Costs in MS Project.
To get around not having export to MS Project... I exported Wrike schedule to Excel and then imported Excel into MS Project where I added the resource rates/hours and other fixed costs.
Hi Peter! I'm sorry we didn't get back to you here, I've moved this post to the Product Feedback section so that others can find it and upvote it. I'm personally not too familiar with cost-schedule integrations, but we do have a couple threads related to budgeting and resourcing in Wrike. Have you seen Pernille's post on budget calculation? I'm wondering if she's asking for something similar to what you're looking for?
Hi Peter! Our Product Team is currently working on improvements for a better resource-planning and tracking experience. We’d love to hear your input! If you have a few minutes take this quick survey and let us know your thoughts on how we can serve you better.
How is this still not a feature? It’s project management 101 for us in client facing services 😩
Agreed. Crazy. We're 30 people and will not be going with Wrike for this reason. (That's $750/mo in lost revenue... how many more reasons do you need to implement this?).
Im here on my first day of the trial. All good in terms of project management, but I have to agree with John, I won't be continuing with Wrike for the same reason. I want my Gantt chart to calculate the project costs so I can manage my P&L. I'm used to filling out a cost sheet for each resource, then running the cost report after finishing up the project timelines.
Also a 'who does what when' report would be great for studio management... or haven't I come across this yet?
Thanks for an interesting afternoon setting up a number of projects, but I'll have to look elsewhere...
Hi Wrike team,
No feedback on that request from the community team since June 2018 ??
We are testing wrike for some days now. Quite nice. But in one point I cannot understand the product team: why do you need over 3 years to think about a budget component. Project budgeting is one of the most important things in project management. And different hourly cost rates are most common in every agency... custom fields won’t do the trick in all issues. Can you win us as customers with a near budget function? ;)
Hi Sebastian Hansen, welcome to the Community 🙂
