[Answered] Wrike links open in separate window
AnsweredWhen I click a link to enter a reply to an "@mention" or a Wrike task, the link always opens in a new tab, even if Wrike is running an another tab onthe browser. this takes additional time, slows my system and is redundant.
How can I get Wrike links to open in the SAME TAB as where I already hav Wrike running?
Hi Dr. RJ Gosselin,
Some good news for the request you've requested. If you use the Wrike Desktop App, we have now released a feature in Wrike Labs that will open Wrike email and messager links directly in the Wrike App without opening a new browser tab.
It's doesn't cover the full request you've suggested here but it's something I think you'll be interested in.
If you don't currently use the Wrike Desktop App, you can download it here.
Looking forward to hearing what you think 👍
Hi Stephen -
This is a feature I'm looking for (Email links open in my desktop version of Wrike - NOT the browser) But I can't find it in Labs. Is it still a feature?
Thanks,
Dan
Hi Dan, it's now out of labs and can be activated in your account under 'Apps and Integrations' within your profile.
You just need to tick the checkbox that includes that tab feature as below. More information over here too 👍
Thanks for the road map - I just checked magic checkbox! I assume it's all links going forward. Thanks for the help!
Dan
Stephan, thanks for the fix
I also have the check box checked to open tasks in the app. But here are the issues we are encountering when clicking on "Open Update in Wrike" link from email.
These may seem minor but I'm an experienced Wrike user and if these things bother me, I can only imagine what it's doing to those who are not as experienced in our office. It can be very confusing and a waste of time.
@Diane Hey, thank you for the feedback here, I'll pass it to our Product team 🙌
