Gravity Forms to Wrike

On my website, I use a Gravity Form to collect data.  Then through Zapier, I create a task in Wrike.

If a user selects A, B, or C in my Gravity Form, is there a way to assign a “due date” based on that?

Ideally, would be a formula: Time Received + Option (12, 24, or 72 hours) = Due Date.

This would be an unbelievably helpful feature, so if there is some way to do this, I’d love to know.

Thanks!

Hi Joel, good question! It sounds like you're pretty familiar with this, but the Wrike integration with Zapier triggers the following actions, depending on the option you choose: Create a new comment, Create a new task, Create a new Folder, Create a new time entry.

Setting the start or end date from this integration here is not possible.

Have you considered using Wrike's Request forms instead?

You could create a Wrike Request form from a Project Template. This means you create a pre-determined Folder/Project, with tasks that need to be completed for each Request form submitted.

For the use case you've outlined, this means:
  1. You can create a Project/Folder template which outlines what tasks need to be completed for each request submission and set the start and end dates (focusing on the duration of each task).
  2. You can then map this template to a Request form and add the question, 'Start Date' to your form for the requester to fill out.
  3. Once the form is submitted, a new Project is created in Wrike (from the attributes you created in your Project/Folder template in Step 1) and all the template tasks' dates are automatically shifted to align with the 'Start Date' entered on the submission, keeping their duration.

Here's a post where I outlined a similar process for Rachel, with some images and GIFs.

Looking forward to hearing what you think of this option. Thanks for posting 🙂
