[Status: Backburner ⏳] Ability to edit custom field values directly from Reports

When looking into a Report based on multiple Folders and Projects and shown in table layout, I sometimes find it necessary to edit custom field values for items located in different Folders/Projects. Instead of having to open each single Folder/Project in Table view in order to edit the values, it would be great if we could double click on custom field values and edit them directly from the Report.

Not sure if it is my level of access or type of account, but it would be super spiffy to be able to edit any field from a report.

I agree to Tatevik`s request.

And I want this function for also another purpose.

I created the issue list for the projects by using Wrike.
Every member submit their issues via Request form then the issues are registered as one task of Wrike and the detail of the issue is registered to the custom field of the task.
And the member who is assigned to each issue is inputting countermeasures or solutions into the custom field.
But for this purpose, the area for custom field is too small on Task View or Table View, for inputting or for showing.

So, I'm using Report of Wrike for publishing the issue list to the project member.
I could solve the problem regarding Showing, by using Report.
But I have not been able to solve the problem regarding Inputting, yet.

If we can update custom field at Report, I can solve also the problem regarding inputting.

Please add this function.

I agree with Tatevik, I often need to complete empty custom field in my reports and this is very annoying not being able to do it immediately.

Would save me a lot of time!

Actionable reports would be a time save! For us especially for the first year of Wrike we bumbled around a little bit before we figured out how to "Wrike" properly for us. THere is a whole year of Projects and tasks that need custom data added and it is quite a bit of a time suck to open each one individually.

This is a MUST for us. It's so frustrating to go to each project when we need to be able to edit it straight from the report!

Hello,

Is there any update on this? I would like to be able to add a "comments" field to my project reports (e.g., if a project is on hold, someone can write a brief note describing why). That way the managers can populate/view relevant information without opening the project info panel or searching for the original project-- having to do this really defeats the purpose of having a report.

Yes please! This would make reports so much more powerful. If you have multiple nested folders in a project or folder, mass editing is incredibly tedious. Being able to mass edit cross project/folder on a report would be huge.

Just adding my support for this feature, it would help us tremendously and save a lot of duplicated efforts and extra time spent with our current workaround. This would be a lifesaver. I think in general the reporting in Wrike is good but could definitely be improved. Keep us posted on this one!
