Hi Kim, I apologize for the delayed reply! Is the task still missing? One of the most common things that happens is that the task no longer matches the applied filters. For example, you're looking at active tasks and the task has been completed. Could that be what happened? If not please let me know and I'll raise a Support ticket for you so we can figure out what's going on.
