Change/Edit timelog entries

Currently it seems not to be possible to change/edit existing timelog entries, e.g. because of small typos in the comment or a mistake in the time spent field. Currently I have to create a new entry, copy & paste old data, make changes, and then delete the old entry.

It would be great to have an easier way to change time entries. For us it would be important to also change timelog entries of other users (if in group Admins).

Hi Jürgen 😀 You should be able to edit your own (and other's) time entries from the Timelog View. You'll be able to edit both the time entry itself and comments made in relation to the entry. Could you try that and let me know if it works for you?

I'd also like this functionality.

As well as the ability to add another timelog entry from that page. For example: my team member may have a task that extends three days, but forgets to add a time entry for two of the days. I'd like them to be able to add the third entry directly from the timelog screen. Furthermore, the timelog should sum the number of hours so that the user can get a sense if they're on budget or not.

I can edit an existing entry, but often we'll need distinct entries for each day on a task. Our team members sum up their hours each week to 40 and may need to add an additional line when reviewing their timelog. That's where the ability to add another entry, for another day, would be really helpful.

I'm not following. I'm able to completely edit every aspect of anyone's timelog; add lines, etc. I can even delete it. It's great. I just double click the timelog...

I opened this thread, but never gave further feedback. So it's time to do so... 🙂

I could change the entries, but it wasn't obvious in the old version of the time log. The entries in the old log were just written as text and only got an visible input field after double clicking the text. Took me a while to find out.

In the new version of the time log - which is now active since a while - it is indeed easy and very clear to do the changes. Thanks for the change! The only thing I still cannot find is how to create new entries for a different user (as admin).

@Jürgen That helps a lot! You can't add Timelog entries for others, but if you want I can retitle this thread so that it matches that request?

Perhaps I'm missing something. I too was looking for the ability to add an entry in a Timelog view. I can edit and delete, but there is no way to add an entry from this view that I can tell. Adding an entry requires one to open a task, log some time, then return to the Timelog view to see the new entry. Some of the posts above suggested that this is possible.

It would be ideal to see a "+ new entry" line somewhere in the Timelog view, then allow us to start typing the task name, select the task, then enter the time and date. Is this possible?

Nope, not missing anything. It's the same request I have as well.

Would really aid our team in reconciling and speeding up their weekly time entries.
