Get notified each time a task is completed

Hi,

I'm trying to setup my wrike account to do the following :

notify me with an email each time a task is marked as completed in a folder and all its subfolders (the task can be created by everyone so I'm not on "following" status each time).

Is there any solution I'm missing ?

Allright found it, if someone needs it, you just have to check the email notifications on status change for tasks you create and tasks you don't create in your profile (top right corner click on view profile).

You will also need to follow each folder you want to get notified about.

Great stuff Armand, thanks for coming back and sharing! For anyone else, this link should bring you straight to your profile section of Wrike so you can adjust the email notifications preferences.

Hi-- Is there a way to get these on Desktop App or chrome notifications as well? I only get notified in popups when I am @mentioned currently.

Thanks!

Hi Noel, your @metions should be going to Inbox for reference. You can also use this link to customise the email notifications for your account.

For the Desktop app, it works the same, you choose the notifications you want to receive by email by checking and unchecking the boxes in your profile. Follow the above link to review them.

If you're looking to turn on/off the notifications for your Chrome browser here's a Google support article that will help!

Anything else, let me know 👍

I am adding tasks for someone else and they need to be notified. How do I set that up without adding them as an assignee?

@ Stephen,

Maybe I'm missing something in your response, but I'm not looking for email notifications. I currently have them OFF entirely (its a company-wide setting).

We are looking for notifications in chrome or the mac app for NON-@mentions. (I do get all the @mentions and they go to the inbox as well which is great.) However, updates on tasks that I'm following go nowhere. So, we're missing a lot of updates that currently are email only. I'd like to get those on the mac app and in pop-up notifications.

I understand now Noel, thanks for clarifying.

It's a difficult one because the idea is to keep the inbox cleaner and specific to what you need to act on.

For notifications outside of this, for tasks you're following, for example, you would use email notifications. You can turn off certain options in your profile so there's not a duplicate notification in your Wrike and Email Inboxes.

I totally understand you want to avoid email notifications so I'd recommend voting on this feedback thread.

It's about adding more options and control around what comes into your inbox and it would be great if you could comment on it with a use case if possible. It's actually something I'm interested in seeing developed too 🙂
