[Launched! 🚀] Duplicating task in mobile app

Добрый вечер! :) Thanks for sharing this, Illia. It's useful to learn about how you use Wrike on the go, and I'm curious whether you usually duplicate individual tasks or whole Projects? In case you want to start a Project from a Request, it's actually possible to do this just by filling out the form: Launch a Project Template from a Request. Is this what you were looking for?

Hi.  In our opinion duplicating projects and task including subtask is a must for mobile app's.  We are testing Wrike and Trello  to be used for our project management and lacking the duplicate feature might drop Wrike out of question :( 

Most of our users are in the field using an IPad - it would help them out tremendously if they could duplicate tasks. 

Just chiming in to add extra support for this idea. I tend to use my phone or tablet as auxiliary monitors—if I’m working on a Trello-based project, I usually have that open on the iPad next to my main computer. I do that for Wrike too, sometimes, but not nearly as often. On Wrike, I tend to do one of four things with a task: Duplicate a template, assign the new task to a team member, log time, and change the status to “complete” once it is finished. On the mobile app, there’s no live time logging, nor is there task duplication, meaning that I can only get 50% of the day-to-day functionality I need on Wrike if I’m on mobile.

We found on the IPads that we could download Google Chrome and open the full version of Wrike on the IPads, it allows us to do all of the tasks including duplicating.

I agree with the above comments, it would also be beneficial for us to be able to duplicate projects and tasks from the mobile app. I now have a baby so I’m rarely on my computer these days and mostly work off my mobile. The problem is that I can’t duplicate our projects and as I’m the administrator for our businesses this presents a real problem for me!

Over 5 years later, how does the mobile app still not have this basic functionality?

Since 2017, a lot of users have been eagerly awaiting the inclusion of the task duplication feature in the mobile app. It's disheartening to see that despite being a highly requested feature by numerous users, it hasn't been implemented yet.

One of the primary reasons I rely on Wrike's mobile app is its convenience, especially as a disabled user. There are instances when it's easier for me to work on tasks through my mobile phone, and duplicating tasks is a crucial aspect of my workflow. I often deal with recurring tasks and having templates for them is essential for my productivity. Not being able to duplicate these templates to create new tasks directly from the mobile app hampers my ability to manage my projects efficiently. Many users, like myself, find this functionality vital for their daily tasks. Ignoring such valuable feedback can inadvertently exclude a significant portion of your user base and perpetuate a sense of frustration.

I kindly request that you reconsider the priority of implementing this feature and take into account the needs and preferences of users who primarily access Wrike through the mobile app. Ensuring that the app offers a seamless and complete experience for all users, regardless of their accessibility requirements, is vital to foster an inclusive and supportive environment. I truly believe that incorporating the task duplication feature into the mobile app will not only benefit me but also contribute to enhancing Wrike's usability and appeal to a broader audience.
