Allow other Attachments to Request Forms

It would be great to see the feature that would allow other types of attachments to be added to a request form similarly to the attachments allowed within a task (Dropbox, Google Drive, and YouTube).

Further integrating the request form with proofing and approvals. My idea would be a user could attach a unlisted YouTube video URL which would then start the task for proofing and approvals.

Hi Jennifer! The idea to automate this is really interesting. In the meantime, something that could help is a question called "Link to YouTube video", which would end up in the task description and could easily be pasted from there.

Thank you Anastasia, this could be a good workaround.

Great to hear that could help, Jennifer! Happy to hear what you think of it once you have a chance to try it out. :)

+1

I noticed there (now) is an option to upload a file from dropbox, but as Jennifer mentioned, still not the full suite of options allowed for task attachments. Our team uses OneDrive!

Any update on this? We are specifically looking to add Google Drive file attachments via a form (instead of using a URL) so that they can become part of an Approval process. Currently the only options the form attachment offers is "From Computer" and "Box."  Adding an attachment within a task has so many other options, I'm curious why the task attachment options can't be implemented into the form?

Hello Rob Gorczyca, apologies for the delayed answer here.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I've checked with our Product team, but unfortunately due to other priorities, this is not planned in the short-term roadmap.

Attachments in Request Forms use a different attachment mechanism, which isn't the same as in Tasks/Projects, so it requires separate research, development, and implementation. However, the team understands the importance of cloud storage in the Request Forms and they plan to look into it in the future.

If there are any updates in relation to this suggestion, we'll be sure to update you here. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Agree with Rob. Our organization uses Google Drive and having to download docs before uploading them is just odd, especially since Drive and Wrike have so many other integration points. This seems like a good thing to round out so that the two platforms are more fully integrated.

Hi Merida Gonzalez 👋  Welcome to the Community! 🙂

Thank you for your question. While it's currently not possible to directly attach PDFs to request forms, there's a workaround that might be useful:
You can upload your PDF to a cloud storage service and include the link in the request form. Just a heads-up: The link should start with "https://" or "http://" for it to be clickable. Please refer to the screenshot below:

Rest assured, If there’s any update in the future for direct attachment of PDF’s to the forms, I’ll be sure to let you know 👍
