Thumbnail Images for Uploaded files
Hi,
One of our clients asked is it was possible to have thumbnail images of the files they attach to forms...I'm guessing she meant similar to what we see in the project description area. Word docs look like word doc, PDF files are the red PDF icons, etc.

It was a request from a client during our external beta testing of the request forms we plan to use. I don't have a use case besides that, sorry. Thanks for the reply :)

We would want thumbnails to appear on the Dashboard view. We use the Dashboard as a Trello/Planner style Kanban board. Optimally, the most recently uploaded image would be the chosen image for the thumbnail. See ticket #567323 for an example I uploaded.
Not having pictures in the dashboard is a serious impediment for our visually oriented design team!

I know Anna suggested this to you, but for others: I want to mention the Board View. I know it's not ideal for your use case, but hopefully, it works for someone else out there!

Hi Stephanie, yeah, we know about boards; that is the look I crave! Right now everything that matters is in one board, which is super silly. I know we could break the "Active" board up with custom statuses (statusi?) if we leveled up, which is probably not going to happen. So just carry over the boards look to Dashboards, OK? Thanks. p.s. Hi, we've switched to business edition and will be using Boards more for Kanban'ing than Dashboards... but... PDFs still need thumbnails in the task description, the comments and the Board view. Just the first page of the PDF. After googling "open source PDF thumbnail generator," I would infer that it'd be a relatively easy and cheap improvement.
