[Status: Launched ๐] Color attribute with custom fields
ย I would like to be able to highlight custom fields with a color attribute to show various conditions. In particular, I am looking to have a color attribute with a drop down field selections. When a person looks at a custom field on a screen or report, it is highlighted with the appropriate color attribute. It is easier to highlight various conditions with color to help people to find information versus reading through text.

+1 I thought it was a given in this day and age... please speed this up. It's so hard to look at those plain grey tables with only visual queue being the status of the task...

What is the likelihood of color coding/labeling for custom fields being released in 2022? All tables and reports look so pale and plain... many team members regret we did not sign Monday.com as their color cues make everything so much more easier to digest and navigate :(
Hi Anna Urazova! I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed here, please rest assured your feedback is reported back to the team.
Custom field color-coding isn't planned for this year; we'll let you know if there are any changes in the future.ย

Hey team,
Is the color coding implemented and is there an option that a nummeric field can show positive values in green and negative values in red, for example?
Hi Marius Jakoby, welcome to the Community and thank you for checking in here. This request is a backburner for now but we'll be sure to let you know if anything changes.
YES! +1 for this idea! We support four different major industries and I've devised a color-code scheme to quickly visualize which work is associated with which industry. If I could apply this to that field in the Table view, that would be so nice!
It is absurd that this isn't supported. It's a basic feature in every other project management platform I've used. At this point I have several Project Management clients. I will not be recommending that any of them switch to Wrike as not only is this vital element missing, but the customer service team don't seem to care about their users feedback - this has been requested since 2017 and they consistently ignore it. Extremely disappointing.
Thanks for supporting this suggestion Daisy Hibbard ๐
Lydia Brown Hi, thanks a lot for sharing your feedback with us. I understand it may be disappointing to see some of the suggestions, especially ones created a while back, not developed in Wrike. That's why I'd like to share some more info on how this forum works: it's based on votes and statuses, and at the same time, Wrike can't guarantee that all or even most of the suggestions will be implemented. As much as our Product team would love to work on the majority of the great suggestions our users are sharing with us, it's just not possible. Having said all that, we still find all the feedback we're receiving extremely useful and that's why we have this forum and the above-mentioned processes. Our team strives to dedicate some of its resources to customer-generated suggestions. For example, you can find some of the suggestions released last year that were Community-generated in this post. I hope this will give you a little bit more context around how we work with feedback from Community. Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with.ย

How disappointing that we're close to 6 years since this was originally suggested and yet such a seemingly basic feature still isn't going to be prioritized.
Hi Megan Lawton, welcome to the Community!
I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed. We will let you know if there are any changes in relation to colors for custom fields.ย

Hi,
We have been just discussing this. It'll be really useful future. Status is related with "workflow". But similarly, we should be able to add custom field with color coded, and we needed it.
...any update/good news Lisa?
: )
Hi Ilker Yilmaz, I'd like to welcome you to the Community with some good news: our Product Development Team is currently working on this improvement, which could be launched in June! ๐คฉ๐
We've changed the status of the request to "Coming soon" to reflect the current progress of the feature's development.ย
We hope everyone is excited about this announcement! ๐ Thank you very much to all of you for sharing your interest in this feature, it has been crucial for our Product Team ๐ค
A wonderful news!, thanks Juan! :)
Hi Community, just to clarify the current situation with the conditional formatting in Custom Fields: as announced in ourย Weekly Release Notes, this option is already available for Numeric and Date Custom Fields in New Table view, New Board view, and Work Item view.
In the coming months, the Product Team is aiming to make the option also available for Single select and Multi select Custom Fields.
In case you have any additional questions on this topic, please let us know ๐
Hi everyone! We're very happy to let you know that color-coding custom fields is now possible ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ

When will this feature be available in reports? I have a whole heaps of custom fields with a status of either Green, Amber or Red, however when I add thsese to a report the colors do not show? This would be extremely useful
Hi Rhonwyn Williams, thank you very much for sharing this question with us. May I kindly ask you to create a Product Feedback post about this suggestion so that other users can easily find it and upvote it?
Thank you!
This has been a common request for our users who may use other tools that have this to work around this feature that does not exist in Wrike.ย
Hi Tig McKenzie, thank you for your comment. May I please ask you to elaborate on your case? It is possible to add colors to different types of custom fields (exceptions: Text, Person, Checkbox). Would you please specify what type of custom field are you referring to?ย
Thank you!
Hi Juan, Generally the team wants to have the option to highlight across a row in any color they desire in their view. It may not be based upon an assigned user as they have their own views or by workflow status. Just as Excel or Numbers documents work, the desire it to have the similar functionality in Wrike.
