filter folders

Maybe I have not realised a very simple answer to my question. Ich have a projekt set to "done", but its still visible in the navigation tree on the left navigatino panel, even if the filter in the parent Folder is set to "active". Where's my mistake?

Hi Mirco and welcome to the Wrike Community! You're not making any mistake here, all Folders and Projects are visible from the Folder tree on the left side of the Workspace, even after they are completed. Take a look at some tips on creating a Folder structure where we suggest creating an 'Archive' Folder to store completed/archive Projects, along with other great tips. If you have any questions, I'm here to help!

Since the last post, there is now a project filter at the top of the folder tree to not show completed and cancelled in the folder tree. However, these projects are still appearing on the table and timeline view. Can Wrike either default to show only Active projects on these views or at least the filter at the top of the folder structure apply for the views as well?  I don't want to move my projects into a completed or archived folder since I'm assuming the point of this filter was to help with the original post issue and not having to tag them into another folder. I want them to stay in the folder but be completed and filtered off my views unless I choose to see them.

Hi Alicia, thanks for posting here. The filter that exists above the Folder tree as it only filters the out the Folders/Projects there. Once you're in a view this filter won't carry over.

So, the Project will show in the Timeline (for example) regardless of its Status but it won't show completed tasks as the filter in the Timeline is for tasks.

Are you requesting that once the Project and their tasks are complete, neither the Projects nor their tasks are visible if the filter excludes 'Completed'?

Thanks 👍

Thanks for the reply, Stephen.  Yes sir, that is correct. If the project and tasks have been completed, there isn't much need to see them in the views. So basically filtering to see active only shows active in the views and filtering to show completed/cancelled then allows for them to be seen in the views as well.

@Alicia Thank you so much for clarifying! Our team is working on improving archiving functionality, that's the only update I have right now but wanted to let you know that it is something the team wants to make better.
