Incoherencies in the Gantt and list view. A little help?

I'm having difficulty in getting the Gantt to appear in the right vertical order.

When I create project phases and tasks, I label and order them accordingly, but when I pass to the timeline view, they're in an incoherent order. Any suggestions?

Hi Richard, welcome to the forums! Items are actually sorted a little differently on the List View than they are on the Gantt chart. Our Gantt chart page goes into the logic for how items on the view are organized, which I think will help shed a little more light on the situation. Take a look and let me know if that helps to explain things a little more. If not happy to go into more detail!

Richard, a common method to deal with this in Wrike right now is to use a numbering scheme prefix for tasks, for instance, something like this:

01 Parent Task 1

  01.01 SubTask 1 of Parent Task 1

  01.02 SubTask 2 of Parent Task 1

     01.02.01 SubTask 1 of SubTask 2

     01.02.02 SubTask 2 of SubTask 2

02 Parent task 2

  02.01 SubTask 1 of Parent Task 2

I'm pretty sure Wrike will be rolling out a way to avoid having to do this in the near future.

*Also, some times you have to do a refresh/reload of the browser tab containing the timeline view, after you make certain kinds of changes to the tasks, before the timeline will display correctly.
