[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Request Form - autosave?
Request form – If a person is filling out a form and then they close the browser by accident before hitting submit does the form autosave somewhere? Also is there a way to save your request forms? I have many marketing managers asking me this because they tend to fill our pieces of the form sporadically.
Hi everyone, thanks for your continued support for this feature!
I've added the "Investigating" status here, which means that our Product team is researching the possibility to implement it. If you'd like to know more about Product Feedback statuses, please check out this post.
I'll get back to you here when I have more info to share 🙌

I too would like to see this feature. We use request forms for client surveys and sometimes we need to save a draft mid way through while we work on getting some additional information together. We've lost in-progress surveys for lack of this feature. Is there any update on it?
A quick update: I've changed the status to Backburner; hopefully the team will be able to prioritize in 2020. I'll let you know when there's an update.

This would be great! Just giving this some more love as we cross our fingers. Would take the Request Forms component to the next level.
We are fairly new to Wrike, but this has been a question from the team since launching. They would like to be able to save content entered into fields within a submission form as a draft. Our project brief submission form is lengthy and team members often find themselves working on it and having to come back to it later to complete. It would be nice to be able to save their progress as a draft to be able to complete and submit at a later time.
Now they have to dedicate the time to filling out the form in one sitting in case the tab is inadvertently closed or the page refreshed.
Hopefully this feature is on the list for future development!
Hi again, everyone! Thanks a lot for sharing your use-cases here, I'm passing your feedback to the team as usual.
For now, there's no status update for this request - I'll get back to you as soon as I have news!

+1 from me.
This is a must! Especially for longer request forms - it's far, far, far too easy to lose all the information you input now. We are using this for employee self-assessments and there are many questions which prompt the user for more than just a one word/drop down/radio response. If they make any mistake or close Wrike then it is all gone. Time wasted. We would love to use Request Forms more, but without this feature we will need to look elsewhere, which is unfortunate because we want to use WRIKE for as much as we can!
The ability for users to save forms as they work to complete them would be extremely beneficial, and our organization whole-heartedly supports the call to bring this feature to reality. One of the most important forms we have established in Wrike is our Project Scoping Form, which requires a considerable amount of detailed information that can rarely be written or input in a single session. Because users are not able to save their progress in completing such complex forms, they are having to draft the information in applications like Word and Excel and then paste it into Wrike, which is inefficient and is slowing adoption of the Wrike platform.
Calls for this functionality date back to 2017 and seem to have solid support, so come on Wrike Development Team, we are pulling for you!
Welcome to the Community, James Drinkard! Thank you for sharing your feedback on request forms here. This suggestion isn't currently on the team's short-term plans, but I'll continue to send on your feedback and the votes count here and I'll let you know as soon as I have an update.

Hi, this feature should be implemented soon, it is useless to have implemented improvements to be able to create very detailed and complete forms if the person who fills them can not do them calmly and dedicating time. This involves doing them in phases and having to gather prior information in order to be able to answer the questions. Thank you in advance for your effort in improving
It´s a necessary feature, which many of us would be grateful if it could be implemented soon. It would save us a lot of time and make our project startup processes more agile.
Our forms are time-sensitive and users are often discouraged from having to start over if they can't complete our request forms in one sitting. We would love another reason (autosave) to keep our forms and focus within Wrike- otherwise it would be nice to integrate an option with autosave that works well with Wrike
Hello Kellyn Gooding, welcome to the Community!
Thank you for sharing your use case and feedback here. I've passed it on to our Product team. If you'd like to learn more about our Community please check out our New to Community forum 🙋🏻♀️
We would also like to have this feature, it would allow us to leverage this product even more where we are forced to use other products and tools to serve this purpose.
Hi Josh Scowcroft, welcome to the Community!
Thank you for chiming in here and sharing your use case🙌🏼
what a travesty that this feature does not exist. this is hours of lost productivity when people spend time documenting and detailing information in a form and some quirk or accidental swipe on a trackpad causes the form to reset to blank without autosaving a draft.. this makes this incredibly inefficient
I understand Judy Thompson. Please rest assured your feedback is passed to the Product team. I don't have an update at the moment as this is still not on the team's short-term roadmap, but we'll make sure to update you if we have any news in the future.
Please do let me know if I can help you with anything else.

The request form is a critical component. We use forms across many areas and the quick 4-5 question request has a great uptake, however the more complex "initiation" for projects are looked upon as a blocker, I have had to create a manual version of the same request form to enable a paced and considered approach - genuinely cut and paste from a manual workaround feels counter intuitive and generally undermines confidence when we cannot launch a demand in our new PPM tool because it lacks autosave or save functionality.
I appreciate that you can edit your request in the description, but I place high value on the drop downs/multiple choice menus that support my custom field data in request forms (I really do not want 25 variant spellings of ProJEct!).
It would be great to hear when this issue may be reviewed again?
Thank you for your detailed feedback here Karren!
This is not on the team's roadmap at the moment, but if we do have an update in the future, we will let you know.

The autosave function for Request Forms is a real dealbreaker. What an amazing feature that's been deferred since 2017...what is the ETA on getting this functionality? I'd love to use Wrike for intake of ideas, and there's just no way to do it without autosave.
Hi Kelley Cayton, welcome to the Community 👋
Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback here, please rest assured it will be passed on to our Product team shortly. I don't have an update here at the moment, but we'll be sure to let you know if there is one in the future.

Draft/autosaving forms is critical component to ensure requesters have the ability to come back to their requests without losing information on long, multi-page forms. I would like to request a status on this request and to encourage the product team to please strongly consider adding this very valuable feature.
Hi Chris Cashon, we're checking on this now and will be back in touch shortly 👍

Hi Chris Cashon, the team have confirmed that this request remains as Backburner for now.
Unfortunately it's not possible to implement every request we receive here, so we do have to prioritise and there is other Request Form functionality being worked on currently which we feel will have a greater impact for more users.
Having said that, the team can indeed see the value in this suggestion and we will be keeping it on the radar. If anything changes here, we'll be sure to let you know and thanks for supporting this suggestion!

Chiming in to add that this is critical to avoid data loss and time waste, duplicative efforts, and other forms of user frustration. Perhaps for simple requests, this isn't critical; however, like others here, we're looking to streamline, lower the learning curve, and reduce time drain for users on often lengthy or labor-intensive request forms. The process cannot introduce new tools/processes and worsen the user's experience or there simply will be no adoption by users (amounting to a waste of time on our part to create unused request forms). Thanks!
Thank you for supporting this idea and sharing your use case Ashley Thomas 🙌
We'll keep you posted on any updates here in the future!

Still waiting for this valuable feature. With 100 upvotes, it seems like it would be very popular.
Hoping to get this off the backburner now that Lightspeed has been rolled out and this can become a priority. To avoid multiple forms for our clients, we have an all in one form that requires a lot of information. Even though we have encouraged our clients to have all of their responses ready, they have found it frustrating that they cannot save. This seems to be an ongoing issue for all Wrike users.
