Folllowing List for Post: Move tasks, folders, projects between accounts

I have 2 accounts. A free account and an enterprise account. I would like to be able to drag and drop projects/folders/tasks between the two.
Hi Todd! Thanks for posting your question here :) There are a couple of ways to approach this, depending on your end goal. Do you want to transfer all data from your free account to the paid one, and continue working from there?
I want to be able to simply drag folders, projects and tasks, plus their contents, from one account to the other.
Todd, thanks for getting back to me! Moving data between accounts isn't possible, but based on what you want to achieve there could be a few solutions. If you want to move all data from a personal account to your company's account once, our Support Team can help out with merging accounts. Another option is to use XLS export and import to transfer data between accounts. Finally, you can create a personal Folder in the paid account and use it to store your tasks and data before moving them over to shared locations in the paid account. Would any of these options help?
Not really. I want my personal items to stay personal and separate from the company. The export (if I recall correctly) isn't available on the free account.
That's right, export is available on the paid plans, but let me know if there are items you want to export yourself and I'll be happy to set up a trial version for a bit so you could use this functionality. While there's no way to continuously move data between accounts, with security being a primary reason, I appreciate the feedback. Once again, I'll be happy to hep you or any other users with transferring data from one account to another should the need arise, just let me know! :)
Anastasia, I think I've found a bug with this non-feature. When I drag a task onto a folder/project in another account, I get a green popup at the bottom saying it was copied, but then it disappears entirely. It's gone from the source account but doesn't appear in the destination (which appears to be intentional as per this thread). However, it should give an error and not move the file instead. Now my tasks are gone :/
Hey Matt! Thanks for bringing this to our attention - I did some testing and could reproduce that behavior, but I wanted to reassure you that the tasks aren't gone: this action simply removes the Folder tag, so they end up in the root of the original account. You can find all of them there, safe and sound :) I'm sending this over to our technical team, thanks again for pointing this out!
Anastasia, I am having a similar issue, I need to export a complex project from one account to the other. Both accounts are paid versions, just different divisions of our company. The problem I run into is that the projects don't export in the same format that they need to be uploaded, so I find myself having to put in the folders, subfolders ect.
Do you have a solution for this? Wouldn't it be better to have an option for exporting a project so it could be imported properly?
@Jeff Hey, thanks for reaching out here 🙂 I'm going to raise a Support ticket for you so that the team can help you with exporting your project. You'll get a notification soon 👍
