[Status: Investigating ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ] Automatically Expand Subtasks in List View?
I am stumped... Please forgive me if this answer is somewhere on the community, but I cannot find it.
Is there an option to automatically expand tasks that have subtasks in the List view? ย See screen shot. Yellow highlighted portion is what I want to expand. ย When I click the three dots (circled in red) I don't have an option to show subtasks.
It's a pain in the neck to manually expand them all.

majority of the suggestions sound practical however what counts is finding a solution to the need.
I would be the happiest if the requested donors for the identified projects are secured within the project timeframes
Hi everyone! I've checked with the team, and the status is not changed for now. I'll keep checking and I'll let you know as soon as I have an update. Thank you for the feedback!ย

I agree this should be implemented, list view is badly in need of an upgrade. ย Asana recently allowed for customizing column widths - and you can actually customize what you see in their list view, and see subtasks! ย You guys however have table view, very useful and nothing at all like that in Asana. ย So please, get the list view some improvements so there will be no need to look at the Asana list view and contemplate moving to them for the useful features it has that you guys could easily emulate - these are hardly innovate features we're talking about here!
ย
I agree that having the ability to expand all in list view is essential for mass-changing the statuses of a group of tasks & subtasks.
Hey everyone, thank you for the use cases here. They've been passed on to the Product team.
We really need this feature as well - please add my vote to the tally!
Thank you for reaching out, Natalie Timler, and welcome to the Community!ย ๐

Add me to the request that is celebrating its 5ยฝ year birthday. ๐
Dean Ethington , ha right?!ย Adding that there's about 6 other threads requesting the same thing.ย They're each years-old and many including this have the minimum 60+ upvotes required to "compel Wrike to consider it" (or however they word it)
Hi everyone! I've got some news to share in relation to expanding subtasks! The team is currently researching this potential improvement, so I've changed the status here to "Investigating" ๐
We'll be sharing any updates on how the research goes here. Thank you for all your feedback here!ย

+1 to this.ย 2 years since the last comment on this post, so not sure if there's a formal feature request page anywhere else but this is all a search pulled up for me.ย Is there any update on the status of this request?
Hi Brian Krause! Just above your comment, there's one from me from May this year where I announced that the team is currently investigating this. Currently, they continue their research. We will let you know when we have more news here ๐

Commenting to re-raise this. Manually expanding subtasks in List view is an unnecessary chore. Would be great to see this fixed.
Hi folks! Expanding all subtasks in one click is available in Table View as well as the New Table View. Could you please let me know if this helps you?ย

No, it does not help. I'm looking for this functionality in List View. Thanks
Thanks for the additional feedback Kelly Smith, I've passed it on to our team ๐

Any updates on this? I don't write software but an "expand all" button, prompting a click on all drop down arrows on tasks/subtasks, doesn't necessarily seem to be a 8 year project.
Hey Adam Blish, apologies for the late reply here!ย
Our team is planning to sunset the List view as our New Table view is a powerful view combining the functionality of the List and the Classic Table views. The New table view has the option to expand and collapse, and it also remembers the setting for tables of less than 1000 items. I hope this helps ๐

Any updates on this for List view? Our team does not and will not use Table View. Thank you!ย

Hi Amy Bonnar, thank you for your comment. As Lisa pointed out, the Product Team has decided to sunset the List view. May I please kindly ask you to elaborate on why you and your team do not wish to start using the New Table view, which:
1- You can make it look almost t identical to the List view:
List view:
New table view:
2- Includes the benefits of the List view and provides you with a large number of additional options. Just to mention a few, you can see subitems:
You can add as many columns as you wish to display all necessary information about your items:
You can mass edit not only tasks but also projects and folders, you can use public links to share your view with people outside Wrike, and many other benefits! You can find more details about the New Table view here.
Looking forward to your reply!
One of the biggest things is that the Table View does not maintain the order requested which is a pretty essential requirement for planning and adding to a project.ย If this has changed, let me know.ย ย
Also, I'm glad there is an identification of investigating listed at the top to indicate where this request is as far as being addressed.ย A link to what this means in context with other stages would be helpful, including possible workaround links so people can get where they need to go for possible solutions at a glance.
Hi Kristy Schaan! Could you please elaborate on your first comment where you mention the order of items?
We'll be changing the status here soon as we are preparing for the List view sunset. As I mentioned previously, the New table view has the option to expand and collapse, and it also remembers the setting for tables of less than 1000 items.

Is there anyway to expand the subtasks in list view yet?
No, and since List view is being removed, there probably won't be.ย However, in Table view, it can be done.ย At the top of the view, there should be a button called "subitems".ย If you click that, you will have the option to Expand all, Expand next level, and Collapse all.
