[Status: Launched! ๐] Sort Comments by Newest at the top
Can we have the newest comments on projects and tasks be at the top of the list of comments? This allows me to see at a glance the latest comment instead of having to scroll to the bottom of the list.
Thanks.

Hello,ย
Many email and job management programs that I have used allow the opportunity to sort "by most recent" order. Having to scroll down to the most recent comment has been a confusing dynamic not only for myself, but also with my client. Just getting started with Wrike and enjoy the program and its potential, but this matter, which looks like it has been an issue for going on 4 years, would be a nice fix. I understand the forum paradigm discussed above, but it is not a natural workflow. Awkward. Hope this gets updated.
Update: Just read more recent comments...that are at the end of this thread. I see it is being considered.ย
Welcome to the Community,ย Steven Briteย ๐ค Thank you for sharing your feedback here!
You're correct, the teamย is planning to release quicker stream navigation in the first half of this year. We'll keep you posted here ๐
Please let me know if I can help with anything else!ย

Dear Wrike,
is there an ETA for changing the order of Stream communication? Scrolling down is so 1990s...ย ๐
Regards,
Kalle
Brad James Kalle Uroicย Please be sure to "upvote" this topic.ย Wrike only considers things that have a certain number of "upvotes" (75), and also guages importance by how many votes a topic has.
Funny thing is... it's a different support comment they need to fix their upvoting method because just how does one "upvote"?ย It's a big secret and not intuitive... but you need to click the "heart" icon on the main topic (not to be confused with clicking the heart for any individual comment which doesn't really do anything).ย ย
You can see that currently Wrike is "investigating" this feature because this topic has more than the 75 vote threshold, but please add your 2 upvotes - the more, the merrier as they say :)
I did that long ago, John Rakoczy, when I first found the thread and commented.ย I follow it now, more as a source of amusement than anything.ย We only have one small dev team that uses Wrike anymore.ย I only need to access the app when I test something for them.
"Thanksย Brad James! I'll be back here once I hear from the Product team "
I'm not holding my breath, Lisa
Thanks for the heads up John Rakoczy.ย I just "Followed" and was unsure how to vote.ย ย
Hi again, everyone! Thank you for your continuous support here!ย
The team is still planning to release quicker navigation in Stream in the coming months ๐ We don't have more exact dates at the moment, but we'll let you know as soon as it happens or when we get another update from the Product team ๐

Do my eyes deceive me - is there really a workaround for the sort comments issue after all these years of hoping??ย No option to sort newest to oldest top down, but at least I can get to the last comment with a click.
Todd Barbourย ย Hooooow can this beeeeee?ย (answer from Dune:ย "For he is the Kwisatz Haderach!)ย ย I'm glad this is finally available, and actually is labelled correctly... though it really should pop and be another color like that blue bubble on the bottom right of the screen we're all on now... but hey I'll take any win lolย :)ย ย I wonder how hard it was to put that function in there lol.
Todd Barbourย How does that work? I can't see it from your comment. Where does that button pop up?
Hi Todd Barbour, John Rakoczy, Kalle Uroic! Our team has started gradually rolling out the quicker navigation buttons. This is the reason why some of you have it already, and some of you don't. We'll be announcing this in the next Weekly Release Note on Monday ๐ All Wrike customers will have it in the coming weeks, and we'll announce the full roll-out separately then.ย
Please let me know if you have any questions ๐ย

Hi again, everyone! I'm very happy to announce that quicker stream navigation is now released to all Wrike accounts ๐ฅณ It means that the new buttons - Last update and Jump to top - are now available to everyone to quickly navigate through the task stream to jump to the top or to the last update.
I've now changed the status of this suggestion to "Launched" as this release provides a solution to it ๐ A huge THANKS to everyone here for posting, providing your feedback, and sharing your use cases that our Product team had been reviewing prior to this release.ย
Please let us know your thoughts hereย ๐ Also feel free to share your feedback under this post ๐

Although I do appreciate the effort to address this issue, this work-around "quicker stream navigation" should not be considered a solution for the original request. Therefore setting this to Launched is a stretch. Does Wrike plan to address the real issue at hand in the original request, "Sort Comments by Newest at the top"?
'S 'bout time.
I'm reminded now of John Cleese's line in the Dead Parrot sketch:
"ย If youย want to get anything done inย this country you've got to complain till you're blue in the mouth."
Hey Michael Johnson, thank you for adding your thoughts here! Could you please explain in more detail why this release doesn't work as a solution to the original suggestion in your case?ย
Hi Brad James! Thanks so much for all the support you've shown on this thread ๐คย

The update recently with Last Update to get to bottom is slight improvement, but still requires to click and scroll down etc.ย ย Would really like just to see the most recent update at the top when you first see the task etc.ย ย ย ย Seems like recent updates also slowed some of the interface down a bit.......

This is one of several issues with notes.ย
Heck even if all of these options would be available in the printscreen area, it would help.
PLEASE solve this correctly.
Thanks a lot for your detailed feedback for more updates to the comments stream, I'm passing it on to the Product team, Richard Herzogย ๐

+ 1 for reversing the comments. Would like to be updated when this will be included.

+1 for choose ASC or DSC order for comments.ย We're now spending half the time scrolling which is counterproductive to project management.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback, Mitch Proulx! Could you please let me know if quicker stream navigation buttons that I announced in this comment help?ย

The "stream navigation button" is something, but doesn't address the issue. Bigger issue being all the scrolling (or clicking with button) from top, to bottom, to top again, and so on. This is another one of those things that holds teams back from adapting new users of the platform to make the best use of the tools intention โ efficient project management. Looks like this conversation started all the way back in 2017 โ with all this time, would love to see change happen soon. Top priority:
Hi everyone! Aleksej here from Wrikeโs Product team ๐
First of all, Iโd like to thank you all for supporting the idea on this thread - your votes and comments really helped us see how valuable it is for Wrike users to be able to get to the latest update on tasks and projects faster and equipped us with a very strong argument to actually work on a solution for this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us here ๐
Prior to providing the solution to this suggestion, weโve conducted thorough research that included reading the comments here very carefully. Weโve concluded that the challenge that we need to solve here, voiced by the majority of you here, was to enable you to quickly jump to the latest update on a task or on a project. That was especially important for those of you who have lots of communications happening in Wrike, and scrolling through dozens and dozens of comments seemed like a real challenge.ย
The solution that we came up with was to introduce quick navigation buttons that allow you to quickly jump to the latest update in the stream as well as jump back to the top of a task or project. This solution covers the main ask of this thread and the majority of comments supporting the original post, and weโre very happy that weโve been able to provide this functionality based on what you have suggested and supported.
Currently, we view the quick navigation buttons as the official solution to the original suggestion here. We can see that for many of you, this solution helps in your day-to-day work in Wrike. We also understand that some of you would be happier if we address this request in a different way, e.g. by allowing you to sort comments. Please, be sure that we hear your voices as well! But we still believe that quick navigation buttons address the main use case while also being a more viable option from the technical and implementation side.ย
Thank you all again for the great feedback that youโve shared with us!ย
What quick navigation buttons are you talking about?ย The only thing I see is see more updates that has to be clicked mulitple times to open the entire stream and re-clicked if you filter it for comments only after.ย Aggravating.
