Wrike and Office Timeline
Office Timeline is a handy add-in which allows you to import your Wrike project schedule into a PowerPoint presentation. It can be especially useful for project managers and team leads, but it’s also a great way to present your plans to outside parties like stakeholders and clients. One of the main reasons I love the add-in is because the PowerPoint schedule’s design can be altered and changed*, so you can customize what you want to present to make it as clean and relevant to your project as needed.
You can add all tasks from selected Folders or Projects or stick to importing only specific tasks.
Use Office Timeline to
- See Wrike tasks on a nicely designed timeline in PowerPoint
- Integrate project roadmaps into presentations
Requirements
- An Office Timeline Plus subscription (you can do a free 14 days trial).
- Windows Vista or later.
- Office 2007 or later.
- A Wrike subscription - Professional version or above.
Please note, that the export from Wrike to Office Timeline is one time meaning that if you update something in Wrike (like dates, title description), the changes are not synced with Office Timeline.

This is a bit cheeky. On the integration page it's implied that this can all be done with the free version of Office Timeline. Having just installed it, I've realised that's not the case.
I appreciate that this page mentioned it, but it's hardly what I would expect.
Hey David, nice to hear from you! I've raised this with our web team to review, thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you've any further questions about this integration, let me know and I'll be happy to discuss 👍
Could we please integrate of have Office Timeline or something similar in Wrike?
Hi Roosevelt!
It's possible to integrate Office Timeline with Wrike, make sure to check out this blog post to see how to do it!
When I attempt to import from Wrike, why doesn't Office Timeline allow importing of the summary task (as it rolls up from subtasks) and/or the overall parent project summary?
During the import process, they are not available to select. In my pic below, I want to only import the top level phases, and the parent project - total of 4 lines.
Hi Terry Howat! For this I think we'll need advice from our Support team, so I'm raising a ticket for you now!
