Overview

Dashboard parameterisation in Wrike lets you customize dashboards dynamically by applying parameters. This feature improves flexibility and usability, enabling you to tailor data views to your specific needs. The key features are:

  • Dynamic Filtering: Apply parameters to filter data across multiple widgets in a dashboard, helping you focus on specific data points.

  • Customizable Views: Set parameters to display data based on criteria like project ID, task priority, or custom fields.

  • Ease of Use: Toggle between different data views with a few clicks, eliminating the need for multiple dashboards.

How to Use Dashboard Parameters

  1. Navigate to your dashboard.

  2. Locate the Add parameters 1 option at the top.

  5. You can select multiple criteria to refine your data view further.

    Note

You can add people, multi-select and single-select type custom fields as parameters. The field must be added to the space or at least one of its folders/projects for it to show up in the list of available parameters.

  6. Click the toggle 3 button to enable the parameter for all the widgets.

  7. Various data types can be used as parameters, including custom fields.

  8. Click Add 4 .

    Note

There's a limit of three parameters per dashboard. Once a Parameter is added to the dashboard, you won’t be able to change the same field in the settings of the affected widgets.

Editing and Deleting Parameters

  1. Navigate to the dashboard where you want to edit.

  2. Click the three-dot menu 1 near the parameter panel.

  3. Select Edit 2 to make changes to the parameters.

    Note

You can control who can add or edit parameters through Access roles (inherited from a Space a Dashboard belongs to). The Edit dashboard widgets permission must be enabled for a user to add or edit parameters. Account admins on Enterprise and Enterprise Pinnacle plans can enable or disable this permission in Access roles, or create custom roles with specific permissions as needed.

  4. Select Delete 3 to remove the parameter.

  • Organize by Priority: Filter tasks by priority to keep high-priority tasks visible.

  • Date-Based Filtering: Use date-based parameters to track project timelines and deadlines effectively.
