Changing Users' License Types

TL;DR

Account admins can change a user's license type to adjust their access and permissions. Update users as regular users, external users, Collaborators, Contributors, Viewers, or admins based on the level of access they need.

Overview

Account admins can change a teammate's license type. As an admin, you can make someone a regular user, external user, Collaborators, Contributors, Viewers,or admin.

Users in Wrike each have a specific license type. This will determine the actions they can perform in Wrike — from simple things like creating a task to altering account settings. Pinnacle and Apex accounts have the ability to further customize the permissions of certain license types.

How to Change a User's License Type

  1. Click on your profile image in the sidebar 1.
  2. Click Settings 2.
  3. Under Account Management select Users in the left-hand panel 3.
  4. Click the name of the person whose license type you want to change 4.
  5. Click Edit settings on the right-hand panel that appears.
  6. Click the current role 5 under User Type.
  7. Select the appropriate user roles from the drop-down menu 6.
  8. Click Save changes. If you're switching someone's license type to or from admin, you'll be asked to enter your Wrike password.
