Saving a Task as a Blueprint

All users except collaborators can create blueprints.

Saving a task as a blueprint allows you to easily use it as a template for future tasks.

Save a task as a blueprint

  1. Navigate to the folder, project, or space where the task is located. In List view, right-click the task.

  2. Select Save as Blueprint 1.

  3. In the pop-up that appears, enter a name for the blueprint 2, select if you want the blueprint to belong to the current space or the whole account, and select the blueprint folder or project where you want to save it 3.


    If you don’t select a location, your blueprint will be saved at the top level under Blueprints.

  4. Check the boxes of available attributes to indicate which attributes you want to copy from a task to a blueprint 4: description, attachments, assignees, and custom field values.

  5. Select whether or not to reschedule tasks and subtasks 5. If rescheduling, set start and end dates.

  6. Click Save 6.
