Creating a Task Blueprint

All users except collaborators can create blueprints.

Blueprints can be created from scratch or an already existing task, project, or folder. This page describes how to create task blueprints from scratch.


This page describes account-level blueprints. Blueprints are also available on the space level, go to Blueprints in Spaces to learn more.

Create a task blueprint

  1. Click on the current space tab 1 in the sidebar and select Blueprints 2 from the drop-down menu.

  2. Navigate to the specific blueprint project or folder where you want to create a task blueprint and click + Item 3, or click + Item button on the main page of your Blueprints section.

  3. Enter a title for your task 4 and select the type as Task from the drop-down menu 5.

  4. The task will be added to the bottom of the specified project or folder.

  5. Click on the task to open its item view and add relevant details. Include any information that will be applicable for the blueprint. For example, you can add text in the task's description 6, add assignees 7, set start and end dates 8, and more.

  6. Select a location where the task blueprint should be located 9.
