Sharing File Permalinks
TL;DR
You can copy a file permalink in Wrike to share a direct link to an attachment with teammates who already have access to the item. Open the task, folder, or project in item view, then copy the permalink from the file’s menu or from an image in the description field. The link stays valid even if the file moves, but anyone opening it must be logged in to Wrike and have access to the item.

In Wrike, all users, including Collaborators, Contributors, and Viewers, can easily share links to files with their teammates. This feature simplifies collaboration and ensures everyone has access to the necessary documents.
Note
The task, folder, or project in which this attachment is located must be shared with you in order to open the file via permalink. If you want to share a file with people outside of your Wrike account, you have to invite them as guest reviewers.
To copy a file permalink:
- Navigate to a specific task, folder, or project and open it in the item view.
- Right-click a file in the list of attachments under the description field of a task, folder, or project.
- Select Copy file permalink 1 from the list.
The link is copied to your clipboard. The link stays valid even if the file is moved to a different task, folder, project, or space.
Note
You have to be logged in to your account in order to open a file via permalink.
You can also copy an image permalink from the description field. To do so:
- Hover over the image in the description field.
- Click the three-dot menu button 1.
- Select Copy file permalink 2.
