Converting a Subtask to a Task

Table 57. Availability - Legacy plans

Overview

You can convert a subtask into a task, i.e., if you need to delete the parent task but keep the subtask.

Convert a subtask into a task

Detach a subtask from a task:

  1. Open the space, project or the folder where the subtask is located.

  2. Move the subtask by dragging and dropping it into any folder, space, or project where you want it to be an independent task.

    Note

You can do the same on the table portion of Gantt Chart.

  3. You can also do this by clicking the subtask’s three-dot menu and then by clicking the Outdent option.

Your subtask is now a regular task in the folder, project, or space you added it to.

Note

If you don't add your subtask to a folder, project, or space before detaching it, your subtask becomes a regular task in the Shared with me section.
