TL;DR

To delete a task recurrence, open any task in the recurrence, click the three-dot menu, select Edit recurrence, then click Delete. This stops new recurring tasks and removes unedited ones. If Edit recurrence is grayed out, add the task to a folder/project/space first.

New recurrent tasks will no longer be created, and all tasks in the recurrence sequence that weren't manually edited are deleted.

Note

Deleting a recurrent task doesn't stop new recurrent tasks from being created. To stop the recurrence, follow these instructions.
