Conditional Approvals in Request Forms

Space admins can manage request forms in their spaces. Account admins and owners can manage account-level request forms. On Enterprise accounts, this right can be revoked from account admins.

You can create dynamic request forms that include different questions and change the attributes of the task or project they create based on the answers given.

You can set up a request form to start an approval process if a certain Single answer, Multiple answers, or Importance answer is selected.

Set up conditional approvals


It's possible to add conditional approvals to Single answer, Multiple answers, or Importance questions. However, the conditional approval due date or status change is only available for single select or importance questions.

  1. Navigate to the request form builder for the relevant form.

  2. Add a Single answer, Multiple answers, or Importance question.

  3. Add all the necessary response options.

  4. Click the branching icon Request_Forms-Branching_icon.png to the right of one of the options.

  5. Hover over Approvals and choose from the list to:

    • Add approver

    • Set approval due date

    • Set status if approved

    • Set status if rejected

Click the Add action button to add other conditional branching actions to the same answer option if necessary (i.e., changing the status). When you’re finished making changes to your form, click Publish or Save.
