Have you thought to use Request forms when creating a new project? Within the request form, you can mark certain questions relating to your custom user fields to be filled in before the form is completed. For Request forms, you can read this section from the Wrike Help Portal, https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/209603169-Request-Forms or watch this video, https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/categories/201188625#Request-Forms. Let me know if you have more questions. We use request forms for a lot of our processes because people do not always give us all the information we need to complete work. The request form is basically a created checklist to help ensure that all the information is gathered at the start so everyone can have that information when the project starts so no one is waiting.
