Company news
We have a section in our Wrike where we post company news tasks.
We did experiment with putting everyone on as an assignee - the idea being once you read the memo you took yourself off - not terribly successful....
So now we just put boxes in the description and you tick it off when you've read the memo.
The first @ is @myteam and then subsequent @mentions are controlled by the task owner to remind people of the memo is needed.
Thanks for sharing Debbie! Something to think about during our deployments.
I proposed a Knowledge Base, managed by dashboards to do a similar thing and hold longstanding common-use documents.
When needing "read receipts" I've had some success with un-assigning, but also having everyone comment OR just give a thumbs up usually works better.
Thanks for the good suggestion! We don't use Wrike for news company wide - but something we can consider team wide.
Interesting approach - so using Wrike instead of email for company news. I'm thinking that employees aren't expecting to get news that way, but it's good to explore this alternative approach which helps reduce emails.
I definitely like the idea to house specific information that we want to target our users in Wrike - I typically use these types of announcements to let our users know about New Training available in Wrike discover, or any specific Wrike-related updates that are coming - for this - I add the note to a topic in our Wrike FAQ / knowledge base - and @mention myteam to communicate the changes coming!
This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot for the great insights here, everyone! 🙌

We couldn't use this companywide but definitely at a department or team level. This would also be a good approach to share process/procedure updates - those tend to get ignored when sent out via email.
Agree with Carly Vavra - this wouldn't be feasible for company news, but it's a good idea to share team updates and reinforce the habit of checking Wrike. I also like the idea of readers checking themselves off rather than unassigning, since it's easy to lose a task you're no longer a part of.
I add to the meeting notes each week a weekly wins and announcements section
Interesting idea! I like the thought of seeing some type of interaction or read receipt from everyone. Trying to think if this could work for us. Thanks!
Usually thumbs up for any announcements I do as well Elizabeth Bayer
Our Organization would be able to utilize this on a Group level and think it will be very helpful. Thank you for sharing!
We use email. This would be a great change, but two of our business units do not use Wrike. Therefore, we would be missing some of our audience.
We currently dont use Wrike to send out company news as only 1/4 of our team utilizes wrike.
We also use this thing with mentioning all and reminding those who hasn't checked their checkbox. But it's not ideal, especially if you have a large list of employees.
I made a feature request long time ago to improve this: Create a single task (with the news or other to do's) and duplicate it automatically to a whole group, so that everyone gets its own subtask which has to be completed. If you like this, please upvote here: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360028839414-Duplicate-a-task-to-a-whole-group-of-users
After Wrike implemented approvals, I made another suggestion using approvals for this: Notify process with feedback / Tasks for a group of users – Wrike Help Center
Thanks for your support to make Wrike better every day!
