[Status: Investigating ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ] User and Collaborator Permissions
Pleaseย improve the capability to set access control and permissions. See below suggestions for improvements.
1. Ability to set permissions at a granular level. Add/Change/Remove of Tasks/Folders/Projects should be have separate controls.
2. Admin should have ability to set permissionsย from theย admin screen itself, atleastย for folders and projects.
3. Admin should be able to delegate permission setting authority to users or groups.
4. Child folders should automatically inherit permissionsย set at the parent level.
5. An audit trail of permission changes should be maintained.
These are essential to use Wrike effectively in businesses.ย
@Lisa, I did not realize the Read Only status was added. This is a great improvement! Thank you for the heads up. :)
@Lisa - I've followed the steps to create 3 new access roles. Now I would like to assign those roles to the individuals on our team, but the only option I have to choose is their license type. When I click on "edit permissions", there is no option to assign one of these new Access Roles, but rather just to manage their individual access right there. Is there another step that I may be missing? Permission control is going to be critical to ensure that we don't have loss of data due to user error as we're getting up and running with Wrike. Looking forward to some additional guidance. Thanks!ย

I hope I understood your question correctly. Access Roles are granted on a shared folder/project basis, and they are not the same as User types in Wrike. Hope that answers your question!ย

I did learn that Access Roles apply to folders and projects. It would be ideal if they were applied across the platform, at the User level. The likeliness that a User would have varied permissions for each and every project seems less likely, as it is in our case, than to have the same permissions for everything they work on based on their "role".
The ability to apply permissions is great, but the need to go in to each individual folder to apply those permissions is cumbersome and also creates a high margin of error. It would be ideal if they could be applied at the User level via Account Manager. Has anyone else expressed similar concerns?

For our use case, it would be great if collaborators could @ other collaborators or tag themselves in requests (from the request forms they submit).
+100 if admins had the ability to control this function!
