Attachments in Wrike

TL;DR

In Wrike, everyone except Viewers can attach files to tasks, folders, and projects. Attachments appear below the description, with up to three shown at first. If you share an item, others automatically get access to preview and download its attachments unless you restrict access to the item itself or use certain cloud storage permissions. You can manage attachments by selecting one or more files to review, compare, move/copy, upload new versions, download, edit, delete, or upload to cloud storage.

Overview

All users, including Collaborators and Contributors, can attach files to tasks, folders, and projects in Wrike, except Viewers.

By attaching files directly, you give your teammates easy access to relevant documents. Attachments are displayed under the description field, showing up to three initially, with an option to click Show more to view all attachments.

Important

By sharing any item in Wrike (task, folder, project or any custom item type) you are automatically allowing preview and download of its attachments. Limiting user access to a certain file is possible only through limiting the access to the item that it is attached to. Alternatively, limiting access to the file is possible when attaching it from certain cloud storage apps.
