Subitems Lists within Item View in Wrike Labs 🧪

Hi Community 🙌

Today, we’re excited to invite you to try a new feature in Wrike Labs: a new subitem section within your items.

Now, you can view subitems right inside your item view, as well as edit item titles, assignees, and dates. It’s also possible to change column order, sorting, density, and resize columns. All these settings are stored separately for projects and tasks, so you can have one view for projects and another for tasks.

If you are viewing a parent item with subfolders or subprojects, they will also be shown.

You can enable this feature in Wrike Labs for your individual account.

Try the new option to view subitems and let us know your feedback 👇

So far it looks beautiful, and works beautifully, too!

Do you think it'll be on the roadmap for the columns to be customizable?

Hey Laura Lysaght, our team is considering several ways of enhancing the subitems lists at the moment, so I'll share your suggestion with them 🙂

Our system admins think it’s such a great improvement over the current UI that we’ve enabled account-wide! Thank you for this improvement! Will keep you posted on any feedback we hear.

Can we hide this functionality?

Robert Bridgham If you want to hide sub-items, you could always set up a custom item type and remove the subitem table from that particular item type.

Some users on our account have been moved to table view in subitems and it's been very disruptive to our work. We were not told that list view would be removed from subitems, it's a very chaotic look. I'm already having to build table view templates for our space and project levels that will need to be applied to thousands of projects but I don't see how to apply a template to the subitem view but even if we could, that's another several thousands of parents tasks I will have to manually switch over. I'm not quite sure why list view couldn't be rebuilt on the new technology like the other views were.

Hi Lauran Janssen, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this matter. We understand the challenges users face with this transition and value your feedback.

Regarding the List View, it could not be rebuilt on the old technology due to certain limitations. Transitioning to the Table View allows us to implement enhancements. Our team is actively working on making the Table View more user-friendly and is taking user suggestions into consideration. Your input is important to us as we continue to improve our platform.
