[New from Wrike] BI Export and Tableau Connector (Enterprise)

注目の投稿

From talking with Enterprise account users here on Community I believe this new feature will be super useful to your reporting.

BI Export is now available and lets you export your account’s data for import to third-party analytics tools.

This allows for building reports and analytics that are not available in Wrike and allows you to merge Wrike data with data from other sources.

Here’s a list of the Wrike data you can Export.

Below are the options for exporting data:

BI Export (manual): Use the Backup Tool to export data manually, then import into any BI tool.

BI Export (automatic): Use the BI Export API to connect automatically to any BI tool. Note: A developer will be needed to connect using this API for BI tools other than Tableau; see Wrike’s open API documentation for more information.

Tableau connector: Bring Wrike data into Tableau automatically.

One specific connector for BI Export which can be leveraged by many teams is the Tableau Connector. This allows you to bring data from Wrike directly into Tableau without having to build the connector via our API; instead, it’s ready for use. Visit the Connect Tableau and Wrike help page for more specific information on how to set this up.

As always, we love to hear how you might use BI Export and some examples of the reports you’ll now be creating with this new functionality.

Comment below with your thoughts and share your best practices 👇

Is there any news on when a Power BI connector might be available?

Also, does the Tableau connector grab live data from Wrike or is it from a daily backup?

Thanks,

@Seth Hi, thanks for reaching out 🙂

Automatic BI export is already available, as well as the manual one. As for the Tableau connector, it grabs data from the daily backup, although you can force fresh export generation.

Please let me know if that helped 🙌
