It would be really helpful to filter by "contains", "starts with", "ends with", etc... on the task title in reports as well as on dashboards.

I'd need to use all those filter options also in Tables.

This is a must have feature in my opinion. We have filters on everything but we cant filter on title? Preposterous!!

Agree with all of the above comments. Quite surprised that there is no filter function on the task title.

While we can search for task titles using the generic search bar, the view does not give much details. It would be nice to be able to see the list of tasks based on a variety of views, such as table, Gantt chart etc.

Is there any movement on this? I require the function to filter on Title by "contains" to generate a report

I would also like to have that feature as that is a must-have filter wrike should have added in the initial stage only.

For anyone looking for a temporary/hack-ish solution to filter by title in Wrike:

  1. Switch to Table View in a folder
  2. Create a new custom field with type Text
  3. Select & highlight all the tasks in that folder by clicking on the top and shift+click on the bottom
  4. Press the copy shortcut (cmd+c on a Mac, ctrl+c for everything else)
  5. Click on the topmost column of the new custom field, then press the paste shortcut (cmd+v / ctrl+v)
  6. Filter as you like on the filter column 😁

Thank you, Kareem Lukitomo - I've been using this hack as well!
Looking forward to a title filter being available soon - this is a must feature for us also.

Coming from Workamagig, this was actually one feature we used on the regular for creating custom reports. It is double work to have to use the custom field to search by this—and not my favorite approach because custom fields aren't searchable based on my understanding.

Hi Stephanie Todd, thanks for posting.

It is possible to find tasks with specific custom field entries using a filter on the search results. You'd first need to click on the search button and see all results. When you have the list of your search results please click on the filter icon on the top left-hand corner underneath the search results headline 😊

When you click on the filter icon you should have filter options available on the right, please add the custom field(s).

You can also find a full list of your custom fields under the Account Management section. Please let me know if this helps.

Nearly 4 years later and people are still asking for this feature, any updates on when this might be implemented? 🤔

Hi Mindy Ellis! Please allow me to share some detail on how this Product Feedback forum works. We have a voting system here where any Wrike user can upvote a suggestion when visiting the Community. There are other ways to let us know your feedback, and the Community is one of them. We have a process for reporting all suggestions, feedback, and votes from this forum to our Product team, and they continuously review all of this data.
Once any suggestion reaches the 60 votes threshold, we add a Product status to it. That's why I encourage everyone here to upvote the original post above - that will help our team correctly estimate the popularity of this suggestion. You can check out more info on that and on the list of statuses in this post
I hope this info was helpful, but if you have any questions, please let me know!

Hi folks, coming back to this thread, I just wanted to mention a workaround previously mentioned here above - you can use custom fields to add values in them (equivalent task prefixes, for example) which will then allow you to use them as filters as well as in reporting later 👍 I hope this can help in some cases!

Amandine on maternity leave starting the 22nd of July (hope you're having a great maternity leave!)

This is a great suggestion, and would be really useful. Would also love to be able to do this with custom fields.

For example, we've got a custom field for 'resource' where we can name people working on a task who don't have wrike accounts (and so can't be 'assigned' the task). There could be multiple names in the resource field depending on the task, and it would be great to be able to filter there for every task where John has been named for example.
