Why is @mention no longer making people follow a task?

This is something that happened to Wrike recently. Back in the day, anyone who got tagged on a task was an automatic follower. We did it like this to notify people in their inbox about a new task or sort of like fyi. Just making them follow the task didn't send them a notification that they are following it so they didn't get to see the task unless going into their stream.

Recently I noticed that this is no longer working.

As detailed on https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/209603269--mentions in the overview:

  • The user you @mention is automatically shared on and begins following the Task, Folder, or Project where you @mention them.

Does anyone know why its not working? Did something change?

Hi Pavel, thanks for posting in the Forum 🙂
I checked the feature, and it worked as usual, just as described on the Help Center page. So I raised a Support ticket for you, someone from the team will help you sort this one out 🙌
