Allow collaborators to edit work schedule
Currently, collaborators can see the "Work Schedule" configuration under Profile Settings. However, they cannot mark non-working days for themselves. This is a fairly basic but necessary feature for project timeline planning. If collaborators cannot indicate their non-working days, how are project managers able to properly align work to those schedules? Furthermore, the fact that collaborators are able to see this in their settings but not edit it leads to confusion.
I fully agree. It also means additional work for the PM to add all the non-working days for collaborators and adapt when these days change.
Hey everyone, apologies for the delay in response here.
There are currently no plans to add this suggestion to the short-term roadmap. If there are any changes here, I'll be sure to let you know.
We were disappointed to learn this, as it's the only way to show non-working days on the Workload Charts for resource allocation, and so that Effort will accurately calculate on the actual days they work.

Hello Cansu/Hugh,
I agree with the original post and all feedback since, that this needs to be enabled for collaborators. My company works with a large number of clients with collaborator accounts, and this is basic functionality that the project manager needs to have available to update timelines. I hope this can be added as an enhancement request.
Thanks,
Jacob

I agree with Jacob. It makes it very difficult to plan project timelines if you cannot assign days off to collaborators. Seems like an easy fix to me. Very disappointed that after 4 years of comments, no changes have been made.
