How to create templates with assignees and not notify the assignee
Hello,
How would one assign tasks to people in a template without sending notifications to the assignees? I've created a folder that isn't shared, and want assignees on the tasks within the template so that when a project goes active I can populate that project with my team and then only manipulate the timeline.
Only problem is that when working on the templates I'm inadvertently sending notifications out to all team members and creating confusion, even though the projects are populating as deferred and aren't shared with anyone.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Josh,
I have not seen an option to stop notifications once a team member has been assigned a task. One way around creating confusion is using the task status. Let team members know that a deferred task = a no action task. One thing we have done to make tasks crystal clear, we created a "Template Only" status as part of a custom workflow. You can set this status as either deferred, cancelled, or complete. This would deliver a clear message to team members that they could simply look at the status and know that this is only for a template.
