Link to database custom field in request form
Hello everyone.
My team and I are managing a branded merchandise inventory with a database which is really helpful. To streamline the process of other teams requesting this merchandise, we are creating a request form. We know there is a functionality of "using custom field as options" to populate aoptions in a question, rather than manually entering all the different options of merchandise someone can request. I created a custom field with the link to our team's database. This custom field links our products to the database. However, when I choose "use custom field as options" the custom field we created does not show up as an option to choose from in the request form.
My question is, why is the custom field we created not showing up as an option in the request form and how can we fix that? Thank you for the help.
Hi Kimball Williams,
A couple of questions for you to think about and why that might affect why you can't see your field in the request form:
If your form is at the space level, it should be able to use account level or space level link to database custom fields.
If you form is at the account level, your link to database custom field must be also at the account level.
If your form is an external request form, you can't link to a database custom field.

I hope these help! Let me know if none of those are the culprit and I will keep thinking!
Hi Kimball Williams Could you share some screenshots of the Field Settings, the Settings on your form (like the Data Source), and of what happens on the form when you try to add the question?
Also is the Custom Field an Account Level field or does it live in a Space?
