Change email notifications so that the description does not block all of the actions at a glance.
Hello Community,
Last year when our team members were notified by email of an action in Wrike, they would see the information they needed as soon as they opened the email (or on their preview). This was super helpful! Team members saw all pertinent information right away and didn't need to scroll down. Once they clicked on the link and went to the task, they could see the description if they needed it and change the status or comment.
This year, I used custom item types for task creation and that is the only thing I think is different in my process. This is what people see now. The description has taken over the email and obscured the whole message. Obviously this isn't needed by team members who know what they are doing, and for team members who are new, it looks like there isn't any relevant information in the email notification. Is there a way this can be fixed, or if not, is there an alternative place where we can put directions for team members so it doesn't impact the success of the email notification function?
Hi! The difference I'm seeing between your two screenshots is that one has a lot of detail in the Description field, and the other does not. With more detail in the Description fields, the subtasks on the item will be further down the email message. There are not ways to tailor the emails sent automatically.
Hi Kristy Schaan,
have you tried to remove description?
I don't love email notifications and for me Wrike messages are only in Wrike Inbox but from your screen it seems in the old version you doesn't have description.
Hello Sarah and Pietro.
The description section is so frustrating. Our users really operate out of their email since they are juggling so many correspondences. Also, since Wrike doesn't have the ability to organize your email like Outlook does, Outlook is pretty important for our communications.
I went back and looked at this step with the description. Although I did add descriptions later on some of these, there is no record of adding it in the comments section so I'm guessing I added this with a blueprint and it was already in place. Obviously, I don't want to distract from the comments, so I'm wondering where you put descriptions and checkboxes so that they aren't in the way of the message?
Kristy
