Creating Task Via Email - Custom Item Type Selection and Custom Field Completion

We are working on having our ERP email Wrike to generate tasks based on routing steps. 

I have went through the documentation and how this working fairly well, however I am not seeing anything in the documentation or help groups around how to:

1. Select a Custom Item Type for the new task being created through the email process

2. Add Data to a custom field in the task

Has anyone has any luck with this?

Hi Ped Watt,

for dates you can refer to this guide https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005218562-Creating-a-Task-via-Email-Integration#UUID-e73b9934-6e86-e6de-86de-d19d64b5f305, you can add date info on email subject.

For CIT I think is not possibile, but you can use automation to change CIT every time a task it's created.

Pietro Poli thank you for the feed back, I already have dates working. I am mainly after adding data to Custom Fields and Custom Item Types.

Pietro Poli, The Automation tip on CIT is a definite path, we have a lot of Automation Rules running, so I was hoping this was something I could do without adding another Action to my total for the month

Pietro Poli - how is this achieved through an automation?
I can't see a way to change the Item Type in the Action options.

Hi James Ackerly,
I use Wrike Integrate to change Item type with an automation.

Using basic automation tools in Wrike is not possible to do it.
You can also use Zapier (free tool) to change Custom Item Type, you need to add a specific API Call.
