Report filter by assignee should include job roles

One use case of many...

We have a large, complex project we're stubbing out (will become a blueprint when we finish it), where every task is assigned to a job role. We need appropriate staff to provide duration estimates for just their pieces, for those who don't have Wrike access.

I tried to create a report for each of them showing all of the tasks for their role, but I can't filter reports on job role, which means I can't create the report snapshots I need to send to these resources without additional overhead.

I know I can work around this by tagging the tasks to a specific folder, or creating a custom field, etc... my point is that I shouldn't have to create this extra work/noise. I should be able to filter my report by job role assignee, just like I can filter the table view by job role.

(I couldn't find a previous post requesting this capability other than the comments at https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360037086874--Status-Launched-Job-Roles-in-Reports.  If I missed this feature request elsewhere and someone notices, please let me know so I can upvote that request!)

Thanks a lot for submitting a separate request for filtering by job roles in reports, Laura Boylan!

Our team is aware of this feedback, but it's still good to have this log as a separate suggestion 👍

I'll also add to this request, as the ability to report on Job role is crucial in a professional services organization consisting of fundamentally different functions.  I want to be able to build a global report with quick filters to represent various groups, and neither Job Role or User Role is currently reportable.  User Role is in the objects, but only returns "user" and not a custom user type.

I understand this workaround wouldn't be exactly what you are looking for, but you could create a custom field to specify a Job role and then use it as a filter in your report.

I hope this helps! Also, I'd like to mention that you can check our New to Community forum to discover all the resources you can find in our Community 🙂
