[Status: Not planned] Include Collaborators in Workload View
Please consider including Collaborators in Workload View. Collaborators do not not need Workload View, but if they can be assigned tasks they should be available in the Workload View. Right now those tasks just disappear from the view.
Not having our Collaborators in this view makes planning very difficult for our teams. Our Collaborators are our field people that fly all over the world and are shared resources for our Project Managers. We use tasks mostly to tell them where they need to be. We want to be able to see them in the Workload View so we can make sure we do not have them scheduled to be in two locations at once (ie. Egypt and Paris at two different job-sites).
The option of having to purchase user licences for this limited functionality (they do not use Wrike for anything else) is an expensive proposition and I think ultimately will make us reconsider using Wrike.
We were also thinking about using Wrike to keep track of some pieces of equipment that we move from jobsite to jobsite. These are a different kind of resource but if we could make the equipment Collaborators we could track its location and not double book it...if we could see it in Workload View.
In short, it is a bad design to be able to assign tasks to Collaborators but not be able to track those tasks in Workload View.
I'm really disappopointed about the lack of workload view for collaborators in Wrike. How it could be possible to plan correctly any resource workload if you're not able to identify overcharged workloads for collaborator type resources. Comparing to JIRA,in order to have the same workload view I should pay for Wrike two times more the cost of JIRA !
Any plan to have also on beta this workload feature for collaborators in Wrike ?

Massimo
Massimo, as a work around I have been using the Gannt view for all projects and filtering by collaborator, not an ideal solution but gets me to where I need to be. Wrike do really need to sort this out. I can see a lot of people doing the first year and moving on to a different tool.
We have already started to evaluate other ways although we have only been with Wrike for just over a month. Which is a shame because Wrike is 95% of the way for our needs.
Best Regards
Glenn Aitchison
Please, please, please Wrike team can something to support this be implemented?
I need to be able to book out "shoot space" across our photography team, currently we schedule them on the workload view so we can assign specific jobs to the shooting space available, and quickly see gaps.
Our shoot spaces are currently taking up full user seats because we can't see them on the workload without or any other way that is easy to use.
We tried using the calendars and just pulling in the tasks assigned to the 'shoot space dummy account, but this just moves information to somewhere where it's hard to use and understand, and also separate from where I'm assigning my stylist, photographer, retoucher etc.
This thread is almost 2 years old now, and we don't have ANY feedback from Wrike. Where is this request on the Wrike development roadmap? Is it even on the roadmap?
FWIW, the new resource management add-on should address this. Of course it costs extra money, but only for the seats you're paying for. I was told via support chat that collaborators would be shown in the new workload view and effort could be assigned to them. So, not free like we wanted, but it doesn't require everyone to pay, so that's something. This add-on does look to be much better and more applicable than what we were asking for as well.
I was part of the beta testing for this feature. As of the last version I saw it still needed work (it didn't have the workload for collaborators at the time). After a few months of beta testing this for Wrike, they told me I had to pay for it in order to keep it.
That was a kick in the pants
I agree and vote for this to be resolved. The collaborators themselves do not need to see workloads but the Regular Users should be able to have the Workload for the project no matter what the license level is. If a task is assigned you should see it there and not have it disappear. This is very limiting.
Thanks,
Norali
One more vote to this feature, we should be able to see all resources on the workload (Including Collaborators)
Thanks,
Daniel V
Hi everyone, thank you for keeping this conversation going. I completely understand where you're coming from with this request. For now, the suggestion is not planned by our Product team. I'll make sure to get back to you if that ever changes. Thanks for your comments! They add a lot to the internal discussions even when they can't be added to the roadmap currently.

Hi,
This request is very important for our managing team who can't plan correctly all the work for their teams ... :( And here I'm talking for all my company's managing teams. So I guess that it is the same for the other comments and likes here, therefore the "71 likes" for the 1st post represent more than only 71 people...
Why isn't it on the roadmap since 2 years from now..?
Please reconsider this request as something very important! Thanks
Merwann
I've gotten word that the workload view is on the roadmap for total removal, to be replaced by the "Resource" add-on package (which is behind yet another pay wall). If this is true, it's a shame. 😒
Hi again, everyone! The status is not updated currently. Thank you for all your feedback and support here, please rest assured that the Community team have been passing all your inputs here on to the team.

With all due respect, Lisa, this enhancement request is 5 years old and we have seen no movement on it. Oh, I stand corrected. When this request was created, collaborators were FREE. You are now charging for collaborators.
Now that you are charging us for collaborators, there is no reason for Wrike to block the collaborators in the workload view.
I would appreciate it if this request could be escalated.
I'm pretty sure this is now a reality with the resource view as a part of the new business plus or higher account levels (feature linked below). I don't know why this is marked as "not planned" unless it's more of a technicality that it's not exactly the workload view.
Resources View – Wrike Help Center
You're correct Kevin Miller, thanks a lot for sharing that info here! Resources View includes Collaborators, and for Workload View, the team doesn't currently have plans to include them in it.
Hope this helps 😊
