[Status: Launched ๐ in the New Wrike Experience] Save filtered view in table form
It would be good if once you set up a filtered view, particularly in table view that you could save the setup of that view so it can be easily recalled. The Wrike reports are extremely limited in functionality & this would make it easier to do blanket updates across multiple projects.
Having sticky filters/view set by project or folder would be very helpful! We use marketing calendars almost exclusively in table form, and other projects mostly in list form. It would also help some of our not-so-power users ย who don't remember how to clear a filter so they can find Completed tasks.

In order to get a high level portfolio view of what our teams are working on, I have created a "view" on the Timeline by using filters (eg on task status and date range). I would then like to be able to save this as a view but this does not seem to be possible in Timeline. I can create a snapshot but then I will just need to create the "view" every time I need to use it.
In my opinion we should and be able to get the portfolio (10,000 feet view) out of Wrike and indeed ought to get it from Wrike.ย As it stands, the reports don't give me what I need because I can't get them in a Gantt style format.ย
In answer to @Anna's questions on here, I think a sensible solution to the question of who can see new filter viewsย would be to do what Jira does, which is that an individual user can create their own filtered view and then share it with other users if desired.
Hi there, Jane! Thank you for sharing your insight here, this is really helpful. What you've described sounds similar to the Shared Reports functionality, but for the Timeline View, I think that's an interesting idea.ย
yes saving the view is one of the major missing components in almost every webย application
wrike is unfortunatly one of them.. it would increase work and efficientcy soo much

Hi everyone!ย Please feel free to upvote a similar, more broad request regarding the ability to save filtered view for different sections, not just the Table View. Here it is.
It is very important that once I configure a table view in Wrike that I can save that view.ย This is essential and I would expect the product management team to implement this feature.
For me this would be very useful. Every time I go between tabs I have to resize columns width, collapse all etc. On the timeline view, again it would be nice to save the last view I had saved eg. all collapsed, the duration is set and not defaulted back etc. Or when I am in the Analytics view and create charts, resize them etc, they all default back to the original view when refresh!!

Hi guys! Saving filters is now available in one of our beta features - new Timeline. Feel free to enable it in Wrike Labs and try it out. :) I know this isnโt the same view this request is about, but hope you find this first step useful. Eager to hear about whether you would find this useful in other views, aside from the Timeline and Table mentioned here?
Hey guy!. ย ย we are importing multiple sheets into Wrike and struggling with the views. ย The sorting into alphabetical order is confusing for the type of projects we manage. ย ย We generally work in Table view and having to manually tick Unique ID, then sort by ascending order is time consuming - we are uploading 50+ projects. ย We then find that the view reverts back to the alphabetic version. ย ย ย
Hi Sylvia, thanksย sharing your feedback on this here ๐
We've made out Product Team aware of this feedback and I'll be sure to update everyone here if and when I have more information.
So keep voting and sharing use cases as both help our Product Team understand how popular a request is and how best to apply it ๐
Hi Stephen,
Do you have news of this feedback ?
Francis
Hi Francis, sorry for the delay I was checking this out for you. Our Product Team is looking at adding enhancements to the Table View soon. However, there's noย dates or details to share at this time. Once we have information I'll be sure to update you all here. Thanks for bumping this post ๐
+1 I'm having trouble getting my team on board because of this basic features missing in Wrike. We are currently using Dashboards as a way to save our filter selection, however it doesn't look the same way, since if we want to change to a timeline view, the filter gets reset and you are back to having nothing.
ย
Please implement this, I posted a similar comment a few months ago with screenshots illustrating the feature. However it seems it has been deleted already.

Good Lord make this happen.ย
This would be very very helpful!
So much headache could be spared!ย
User-specific preferences like this would make an enormous difference for the 100+ Wrike users on my greater team.
In addition to custom FILTERS, the following would be very useful:
ย ย ย - Custom TABLE VIEW column set-up
ย ย ย - Custom SORTING/ORDERING tasks in Table or List view
ย ย ย - Ability to set the default filter to ALL tasks instead of the ACTIVE tasksย
It's so funny that I added a filter of a resource and now it is permanently on and I can't get it turned off. It's the exact opposite problem. Anyone have ideas of how I turned it on, so I can turn it off?
I would also like to be able to save the view settings on the gantt chart.
Hey everyone, thank you for all of your feedback and use cases here. I don't have an update for you, I'll keep you posted.
My team could make great use of something similar in the Gantt view. We have a number of leaders who are not very Wrike-savvy and would love to open up the Gantt view and already have everything expanded instead of collapsed, for example.ย
Hi everyone! You may have seen already that in the New Wrike Experience it's possible to create Custom Views that allow you to create and save multiple views tailored to a specific objective or work view. You can save view settings, such as filters and sorting, and share them with the team without duplicating effort. Custom views can be created with List, Board, Gantt chart, and Table views. Here are the instructions on how to set them up; please let me know if you have any questions!
I'm adding the Launched status here as it seems appropriate, but please let me know your thoughtsย ๐

Unless I misunderstand how to use the Custom Views, they don't solve the use-case for wanting a filter that PERSISTS for a user as you navigate through different folders and projects. If you want to use a Custom View you are forced to change the default view for each project/folder you want the view to apply to. When you have hundreds of active projects this is impractical, a "sticky" functionality for filtering would prevent the constant clicking that has to be done to toggle between "active" tasks and "all tasks", for example.
Hi Matthew Connell, thank you for reaching out! You're right that Custom views work on the folder/project/space level. At the same time, your filters, for example in the New Table view, should persist if you switch to a different folder/project/space. Can this help?ย

Lisa It's nice that they persist in the New Table view, thank you. We have large and complex folder structures that are often better navigated in List view. List view filtering does not seem to have the same persistent filter behavior, which seems arbitrary and confusing. Same for Gantt Chart view.
I sympathize that filtering behavior can be complex! In my opinion this is a UI area that could stand some attention. The fact that table view behaves differently than the other views with no obvious ability to enable or disable the behavior is alarming from a user standpoint.
Matthew Connell I understand. Our team actually created the New Table view with the thought to combine the functionality of Old Table and List views. So at some point this year, we'll be sunsetting the List view. On the other hand, our team has plans to align Gantt Chart with the New Table view, we'll keep you posted on that ๐ค
