Conditional Formatting of Tasks
It would be nice if there was an ability to have tasks show up in certain colors if they met certain conditions, especially in the Table view. The conditions and color choices would be configurable.
For example, milestones could be in a blue italic font when viewing in the Table view.
When a task is marked complete, its row in the Table view is shaded green.
Parent tasks could be bolded.
Conditional formatting could visually call out certain project aspects that the team needs to focus on as shown below in a mock up I put together.
Hi Megan, love seeing the mockup! Thanks for sharing this idea.
I have been missing something like that too
It would have been also great if Kanban board task sheets would be colored conditionally. That would be visually more attractive for team members to follow-up their tasks.
Upvoting this feature - would be very beneficial to see from a glance what tasks are overdue, pending, not yet started, etc. without having to create a filtered report or dashboard.
As an account owner still in our Implementation, I am in agreement with this suggestion. I have had my PM's request this capability multiple times over the last few months. Is it on the roadmap?
Hi Tyler Baldwin, welcome to the Community!
Our Product team know about this suggestion, currently it's not planned for implementation. I'll get back here if I have any updates!

I would also love to have this feature, as it improves the GUI a lot - hope you plan this for the near future! 👍

The team doesn't have this in their short-term plans; I'll let you know if I have an update from them in the future.

We could really use this feature as well. MS Project has a similar feature and those that use Excel for project management. Would love to see this in Wrike!
I agree - adding conditional, table, and text formatting and color/shading options would be highly beneficial for projects with a lot of parent tasks, subtasks, status changes, etc.!
YES! The value of this feature would be significant! If this feature would be implemented, the ability to hop into a project or folder and quickly within seconds absorb status detail without having to scan/read each line would be awesome and have great ROI.
Thank you, everyone, for your continuous support and feedback here, it's much appreciated 🙌🏼
I've passed on your feedback to our Product team. We'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates in relation to this suggestion.
I manage creatives on our in-house Marketing team and the ability to have a more visual way to interpret the big picture through color would be a huge upgrade.
Thank you for supporting here Kelsey Ireland! Please make sure to upvote the original post above if you haven't yet, as the votes really matter to our Product team 👍

We want to make the switch from Smartsheet, which has tons of conditional formatting options. The lack of this in Wrike is going to make it a tough sell to the team and our customers who we share our project plans with.
Ariel Browne — just a curious user...can I ask why you are looking to switch over to Wrike from Smartsheets? My team is looking into consolidating Project Management platforms after a recent merger. I'd love to know your high-level reasons for migrating if willing to share. Thank you!
Kelsey Ireland, a new manager likes Wrike better and used it at a previous company. I believe it is the capability to consolidate reporting, track time spent, and enable approval workflows. I myself am finding it hard to navigate and trying to figure out how to do simple actions (like re-order tasks in my project? It seems I can't drag and drop tasks in table view). I'm hoping my inability to pick it up intuitively can be solved by training, but when I realize what I am trying to do is actually due to a feature gap (like this conditional formatting), that always concerns me.
Hi Ariel Browne, welcome to the Community and thank you for posting!
We do understand onboarding can have its own challenges and we have various trainings and webinars on how to get started in Wrike. This Community post suggests a journey to follow including links to our educational videos for different levels of Wrike Users (beginners, individuals, leaders, champions) and webinars for beginners and admins for Wrike. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions 🙋🏻♀️
Over a year now, any news if this is on the roadmap yet? I have had colleagues asking about this as well, would also be good for Gannt chart view if task could be coloured based on task status or even task assignee
Hi Scott McKinley, thank you for your comment! Tasks in the Gantt chart view are color-coded based on their status. Is this what you were referring to?
Please, feel free to share more details about your use case so that we can better understand it and provide you with an accurate reply 🙂
Thank you!
Hi Juan, no I was wondering if we could have it so tasks in Gantt were able to be colour coded based on assignee. We use our plans with external customers and it just makes it easier for their tasks to stand out from our own internal tasks.
Thanks
Hi Scott McKinley, thank you for your reply. In that case, it would be necessary to create a status per each assignee (there's no limit of the number of statuses you can create, as stated in our Help Center):
You could go one step further and create an automation rule to change the status of your tasks when the assignee changes:
I hope this information helps!
Hi Juan, that wouldn't work. We use statuses in other analytics and dashboards to manage tasks. Changing a task status to make it an assignee is pointless.
Thank you for your reply Scott McKinley. I've passed the details about your case to our Product Team 👍
