Custom Capacity Per User Per DAY
We have a lot of users that have different hours they work each day throughout the week. It would be great to be able to set a custom capacity per user per day. So for example, it shows how much capacity a user has who works Mon/Wed/Fri for 3 hours each day. If we could see how much effort is already assigned and how much time they have available.
Hi JoEllen Lowry, welcome to the Community! 👋
Our team has recently released Custom Capacity in Workload charts, here's a Help Center article describing this functionality. Could you please let me know if that helps?

Unfortunately no - from what I see that allows you to set the capacity for one parameter (ex 8 hours every work day) but not 2 hours for Monday, 4 for Wednesday, 3 for Friday, etc.
Thank you for clarifying JoEllen Lowry, this feedback is now passed on to the Product team 👍
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else 😊

This would be a really useful feature for us too. We have some people who work part time and most of our workforce only do a half day on Fridays, so would it would be great to be able to set a custom capacity for each week day!
This would be very useful for us. Setting a custom capacity for each week day would allow us to plan more accurately.

Have added my upvote to this. Our employee capacity is 7.5hrs Mon-Thurs and 4hrs on Fri so would be very helpful to have the ability to customise individual days.
Thank you Kristyn Kay, and welcome to the forums 🤗

Agree with this thread. It'd be nice if our team could update their own schedules and daily capacity instead of having it be pre-set or require an admin. For example, 0 capacity for PTO or 4 hours for a half-day due to an appointment. On a meeting-heavy day, maybe they only have 1 hour of capacity, etc. If our team could manage the custom capacity like our calendars, it'd be ideal and allow leaders to visually see and help manage work when capacity doesn't match the workload for a member of the team.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Brenna Lucas 🙌🏼
This feature is really needed for my team. I am starting to really use workload more indepth but i have employees that work in different countries that have workdays that are not 8 hours a day. It is really a necessary feature to be able to adjust their work schedule.
Hi Greg Leff and everyone! Could you please let me know if changing daily capacity can help you? Thank you!

Lisa Hi - daily capacity doesn't help us unfortunately. We need ability to set 7.5hrs for Mon-Thurs and 4hrs for Friday. We're currently working around this by setting daily capacity to 6.8hrs to average it out, but it's not an ideal solution.
Got it, thanks for letting us know Kristyn Kay. We've passed this on to the Product team and we'll be sure to update this thread if we have any news to share in relation to this suggestion.

We're also really needing this feature for our team. The last post I can see if from March 2023, has there been any updates or changes made since then?
Hi Amanda Redfern, welcome to the forums 👋 We don't have updates on this topic at the moment because our team couldn't prioritize it. I'll share your feedback with them though and we'll share any news here in the Community if we have any updates in the future.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else!

Also looking for this feature. The Effort and Booking features are only semi-useful without the ability for users to be able to adjust their own capacity manually on a day-by-day basis.
Bonus points if the API could allow for a Google or MS365 calendar integration that takes "busy" hours from meetings and subtracts them from daily capacity. Now that would be a game changer. And not too hard to implement either.
Not every day has the same capacity.
If fact its almost truer to say no two days have the same capacity for tasks.
Hi Brian Barrus, thank you very much for sharing your use case with us and for supporting this idea. I've passed your comments on to our Product Team 👍 We'll keep you updated in case there are any changes implemented.
Added my upvote here. We have a lot of contractors on our team working a different amount of hours and in multiple time zones. We're using the workload chart more and more, and it'd be awesome if they had the ability to adjust their capacity day to day as opposed to one rule governing the entire chart. So for example, Joe has this big video project. And it needs to be done by a certain date. But to hit the deadline maybe he changes his work schedule that week to work three 10 hour days instead of his normal four 8 hour days. But the workload chart only sees the 8 hours capacity and it seems like he's available to be scheduled for more work on the other two days, when in fact he isn't - so a manual change is needed, and Joe now has to go in and block those two days as non-working under Settings (because that can't be adjusted from the workload chart either).
Hi Jessie Stith, thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us and for adding your vote 👍 We've shared your comment with our dedicated team.
Please, let us know if you have any additional questions.
We work a 9/80 work week and would also like to have this feature.
We would also need to assign work time per user per day here. Thanks.
