@antony Winston that's how we go about it. Let me know if you find another way ๐
Following and up voting this! This is much needed for us as well.
+1
Hi - Agree with all above. To update custom fields, we are changing each one manually wasting hours per day for updates what can be done so easily on an Excel sheet. Please keep us posted on this progress.
This would help us save a lot of time!
Gets my vote. I have over 500 tasks and subtasks to update for one of my projects. Will have to do it manually. Doh!
We need it too !
Increasingly essential functionality.
This would be very helpful for our team. Especially when certain naming conventions have changed and you want your fields to reflect the new data.
We have run into a few situations now where this would be a really nice feature.
Hi everyone, thanks so much for your continued support for this request! As you might have noticed, I've changed the status of this suggestion to "Investigating ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ" to reflect the research that our Product team is doing at the moment. I'll update this thread when I know more ๐

Hi Lisa, thanks for the update .. please keep us updated on even the smallest progress. We're hoping that part of this initial investigation is cross Space (including trashcan) searching using custom fields as well.
Re adding my vote here from last June!

Adding another vote. Currently going through and applying the same value to 1900 projects.... It's a very slow process currently!
Thanks for the update, Lisa. This one is a huge time waster for us. We have 30+ people spend literally hours every day updating custom fields manually. It's a real morale killer and makes it hard to get the team to really jump on board and not go back to their old processes in Excel. This one can't come fast enough!
Adding another vote. We use custom fields for values like project phase, release version etc. like so:
Phase 1.2
Phase 1.3
Phase 1.4
If I have to add a new intermediate phase like Phase 1.3.1 and I want to move lots (but not all) tasks that are currently set to Phase 1.3 into it, it's very time consuming and error prone.
The ability to set a custom field from Mass Edit in List view or by pasting into a selection of cells in Table view would be ideal.
We would love to have this feature as well.
Are there any updates on the status of this feature?
The concept of the custom fields is great. However, our organization has decided to stop using them altogether.
The "Old Table" seems to be getting phased out and that method was less time consuming versus the new "Table" for us.
Without the ability to do mass updates or to easily manage custom fields it hasn't been worth it. Very unfortunate.
Hi, Is there any news on this one? I know Wrike integrate allows for this, but not sure the cost and if this will be approved in our budget. This would be very helpful for me as an administrator, because names are updated and it throws off the sorting of reports.
I agree with Kerry-Ann above, this needs to be a feature within Wrike - not a work-around with $$ Wrike Integrate. Is there any update?
Hi everyone, thanks a lot for keeping this conversation going ๐ The team is still investigating, please stay tuned for more updates. I'll let you know here when I know more. Thanks for your comments!

If mass updates aren't going to be available for a while (its already been 2 years) could you make an option where the excel import OVERWRITES existing data so we don't need to make a new project and delete an old each time?
We need it here! Adding my comments. This functionality would be excellent .
Would be a lovely (2019) Christmas present!
DEFINITELY NEEDED! Manually updating each project with same custom field is a PITA!
Absolutely needed. Could not agree more !!
Hello again everyone! The team's still investigating - it's the same research that also includes this suggestion here https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115003107809--Status-Investigating-Custom-field-manager, so a big one for sure - this is why it's taking a while. I'll let you know as soon as I have news.
Thank you for your feedback and support here!

Doing another update of custome fields. Keep checking this thread for progress. It cannot come fast enough
Hey Brian Macinnes, thank you for this feedback! It's been passed on to the Product team.
This has become a huge issue for us and is driving my team out of Wrike, which only creates more problems.
