Is it possible to customise the status dropdown list for a project?
I'd like to have more specific labels than Red, Yellow and Green, and add a few more statuses.

Seriously Wrike, this is not a good reflection on your product if you use it for your own software development cycles. They are absurdly slow and don't appear to be very customer-driven.

Highly disappointed that this feature has been prolonged yet further. I was hoping to wait this out and use it once released as this would highly improve my company's Wrike user experience. However, it appears that I will need join the waitlist. Please add me.

We are in the beta, and so far, it's excellent. At first I couldn't lock transitions, but I can now (although we don't at the moment). Having custom project statuses has enabled us to do better reporting and keep better track of the many projects on our plate.ย
I would like to see the following improvements on workflows if possible:
1. The ability to restrict workflows to either tasks or projects; I don't want my team mistakenly using a project workflow for a task, and vice versa.
2. The ability to automatically assign a task or project to a group, not just an individual, when a status changes.ย
3. The ability to filter by project status, not just task status, in the Gantt view. For example, I would like to see all tasks (completed, in progress, pending etc.) in all active projects. Right now, I can only filter by task status, which isn't great for reviewing over project portfolio health. I could view all tasks, including completed ones, but with the number of projects we do, there would be a lot of spam - I don't need to see any tasks in fully completed projects.ย
4. The ability to do branching workflows. Right now, we have had to do 2 custom project workflows, one for simple projects, and one for more complex ones. After a certain point, they have the same status options (in progress, completed, on hold, cancelled). However, when it comes to filtering/grouping/reporting, if we want to see "in progress" projects, we end up with 2 groups, e.g. 2 "in progress" sections on a report.ย
Hope this feedback is useful, and a big thanks for letting us in the beta! I'd be happy to do a demo for the product owners on how we're using them, and the improvements we'd like to see.ย

I would like to express my interest in this feature as soon as it is available. I would like to be able to distinguish what phase a project is in.
I do not see the feature of customize status report on my wrike. I agree, the status report G,R Y is not very useful. An efficient system for a comprehensive status report is a must to have for every project or program manager

Also, question, is there a reason we are unable to click and drag projects on a Projects by Status dashboard the same way we can click and drag Tickets by Status? Should it not be the same kind of workflow?ย
John, I have been trying to get Wrike support to get that drag projects on a projects status dashboard for a while now but they have informed me that the feature is not being considered at the current time. Very disappointing to say the least, would seem to be logical that Projects & Tasks could follow the same kind of workflow functionality in the system, but there may be some back end coding logic that I am not understanding.

What would also be great would be to hide/show based on all of the project status types.
Is there any way to make the RED, YELLOW, GREEN statuses automatically update? Our team uses RED to indicate late projects, YELLOW to indicate projects due in the next 7 days, & GREEN for all others. Updating these statuses every day is a tedious manual process, would be great if the project could be configured to automatically transition from YELLOW to RED status once the due date of the project is reached for example. Having to update this manually for 100+ active projects on a daily basis becomes a chore. Thanks!
I just saw that our account had this feature added. I like the ability to customize, I don't like that it is lumped in with all the other workflows. Already there are people confusing the projects for their tasks and using the wrong work flow.ย
If there was a way to separate these workflows, one set for projects and another set for tasks, that would be ideal.

Kerry, I have not verified if I have the feature yet, so take this with a grain of salt, but while Wrike works on separating that out (which yes please that would be awesome!), are you able to add a "P-" or "T-" in front of the workflows that are Project or Task based and does Wrike sort them by that?ย

You can name them however you want.

If I had 20 workflows this would get very confusing, but I guess you could separate them by:
I just don't have a team that is savvy enough in Wrike yet to switch back and forth and select the correct workflow.
The dropdown also looks exactly like the task workflow drowdown but on the project level, which is confusing. Most people on my team own projects AND tasks and they often don't know when they are in one and not the other.

So far it is exactly how I would have expected the feature to work. Very happy with it so far, really helps give a clear picture of projects status being able to customize the statusย

Implementation was easy, just had to update a few reports but no real issue doing this.
